Spring is here and summers are approaching! All I can think of is self-tanning. I know this might sound weird for Indian skin tones as we are anyway “sun-burnt” in the harsh sunlight in India. But since I came to Canada, my skin has gone a bit pale and I would love to try the ongoing trend of self-tanning. But I did not want to go crazy with it. All I need is a bronzy highlighter with a beautiful tint. So, when I saw these gorgeous highlighters, I was instantly intrigued. Today I’ll be reviewing the Hard Candy Glamazon Bronze Glow All The Way Face and Body Luminizer.

My Experience with Hard Candy Glamazon Bronze Glow All The Way Face and Body Luminizer:
Packaging: The product comes in a rose gold coloured flat squeezy tube with a screw cap. The tube says that it is infused with “24 karat gold”, and I’m not really sure about that. Come on, 24 carat gold for 9.99? I don’t know if that contributes to the sheen or slight sparkle in this product. The directions state you can apply to face and body for “In The Spotlight Effect”. The amount you get (76.5 g or 2.7 oz) for the price is pretty great! The packaging itself is sleek and practical which makes it travel-friendly.
Colour: The colour, Glamazon Bronze, is a super gorgeous bright bronze glossy shade with a beautiful golden sheen to it. If you have a warm skin undertone, this baby is going to be your best friend! But even if do have cool undertones, you will still manage to pull it off.
Pigmentation: This is a gorgeous bright illuminator, perfect to mix into moisturizers or bronzers, or layer alone on skin for a fresh and glowy makeup-free look. I used it mixed with my BB cream and foundations to add a touch of radiance to the face. But that really wasn’t a good idea. I ended up looking like I had sprayed glitter all over face and I was 2 shades darker than my natural skin tone. It works best if used with a body lotion and applied to the body for that perfect glow! It catches the light just right and blends amazingly well.
Texture: The texture and feel of this illuminator are like a creamy moisturiser’s; the illuminator feels soft and smooth and blends really well into the skin. The sheer formula is soft, silky and smooth, and glides on the skin easily. This gives me a moisturiser-cum-primer like an effect when I used it on my face.
Quality: Overall, I believe, this can also be used mixed with your moisturizer on the body, and it gives a great, healthy glow, especially to the legs. When used on the body, my skin stays hydrated and supple, and the color doesn’t rub or smudge off, or get patchy or flaky during the day. I love this a lot!

Overall, this is an amazingly versatile highlighter which is so easy to use on the body, either alone or mixed in with body lotion. This new bold shade is somewhat a dupe for highlighters, which are super expensive. These large tubes will last forever and they’re a worthwhile investment. I highly recommend this to everyone!
