Today’s review will be about Holika Holika Pig Nose Clear Blackhead Steam Starter. I have this product with me for three months now. And, I love to use it twice a week. Wondering why is that so? Let’s get into the review to know more about it.

Directions:
After cleansing, apply to the area with blackheads and massage for 3 minutes. Then use lukewarm water to rinse off.
My Experience with Holika Holika Pig Nose Clear Blackhead Steam Starter:
Packaging:
Holika Holika Pig Nose Clear Blackhead Steam Starter comes in a tube packaging with a nozzle opening. The tube is quite slim and easy to handle. The details are printed over it in their native language, i.e. Korean. But, one can find all the information related to the product on their official website. Overall, the packaging in kind of cute and travel-friendly.
Texture and Fragrance:
The texture of the blackhead steam starter is sticky gel-like with semi-liquid consistency. The steam starter is almost translucent and has a very mild citrus fragrance to it. I can feel the citrus smell all the time while massaging the nose.
Usage/Results:
I don’t have any blackheads issue as such but I do have whiteheads. To keep my nose clean and smooth, I intend to use nose pore strips once a week. I personally believe that taking steam beforehand makes the process more efficient. It clearly softens the blackheads and whiteheads and eases the work of nose pore strips. However, taking steam is not always possible, so I thought of trying the blackhead steam starter from Holika Holika. I use this product twice a week: before using nose pore strips at the end of the week and as a face cleanser mid-week.
Coming to the quantity needed, only a tiny amount of the product is needed for the nose area. One can take the product appropriately according to the area of application. Since the tube has a nozzle top, it prevents any wastage of the product.
According to the directions, I apply product over the affected area after cleansing the skin. Then, afterwards, I gently massage for 3-5 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. When applying to the skin, it feels cold. But, as soon as I start to massage, the gel starts to give warm sensation. The more I massage, the warmer it feels, and the gel starts getting transformed to the liquid state. At a certain point, after 3-4 minutes, there is no warm feeling and the product becomes so liquid that it starts to drip.
Post rinsing, my nose feels much softer and smoother. Not to mention, it softens the blackheads and whiteheads as well. Post using this blackhead steam starter, nose strips work more effectively. It makes the nose look smoother and cleaner. If you are wondering about the effects on the stubborn ones, then the product works effectively on them as well.
It softens them and makes their extraction much easier right from the very first use itself. When I use the product as a facial cleanser, it makes the skin smooth, clean and soft. Well, it is not meant to be used like that, but I love the after-effects of using it as a facial cleanser. Thus, once a week, I use the blackhead steam starter as a facial cleanser.
