Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation Review
How are you ladies doing? Today, I am writing about a product that I have waited for a couple of months before buying. It has been the talk of the makeup community for quite some time now. It is even being called the “miracle product” for oily skin. So, I was desperate to try it, but then what kept me waiting was the price. I could not take the plunge at the original price, so I waited for Sephora to have their annual sale. As soon as the sale started, I finally got my hands on the Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation. Let us see if this one lives up to all the hype.
Product Description:
A breakthrough liquid-to-powder foundation formula that absorbs oil, camouflages imperfections, and delivers a long-lasting, velvet-matte finish. This high-tech foundation incorporates cashmere kaolinite clay, which offers exceptional oil absorption—absorbing 75 percent of its weight in sebum while retaining the skin’s natural moisture. The oil-free, humidity-proof, and water-resistant formula transforms instantly from liquid to powder creating an all-day finish that camouflages imperfections and never looks dull or flat. Immaculate’s superfine treated pigments provide unsurpassed coverage without looking cakey or mask-like, and effectively eliminate the need for powder, blotting, or constant touch-ups throughout the day. Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation is infused with clinical levels of two powerful antiaging ingredients—phytostem edelweiss and lavandox.

How To Use:
Prepare complexion with Hourglass Primer and apply Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation to skin with fingertips or Hourglass Foundation Brush. Sponge application is not recommended. Apply one pump to the back of your hand. Work in small sections of the face, blend and repeat. Immaculate immediately transforms from liquid to powder as you blend.
Price:
$55 for 30 ml of product.
Packaging:
The packaging of this foundation is very sleek. I would say this is the most classy and high-end looking makeup product out of everything I own. The foundation bottle comes in a glossy silver and black cardboard box. The foundation comes in a frosty silver glass bottle with a screw on black cap. A pump is provided separately. You have to discard the black cap and insert and tighten the pump in the bottle. Packaging is travel friendly and needless to say, very nice quality.
My Experience with Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation:
I have bought this foundation recently and have used it every day for over a week. I prefer reviewing products like foundations after using it almost for a month, but I could not contain my excitement with this one. There are 16 shades available. It should be easy to find your shades as a wide range of shades are available in both pink and yellow undertones.
It is a liquid foundation but after blending, it transforms to a powder. I take about two pumps of the product on the back of my hand for covering my entire face. I tried using a sponge to apply it, but a lot of product was being wasted and the finish was very cakey. So, I tried my sigma round top synthetic brush and wallah! As I keep on blending, the foundation turns from liquid to powder on my skin, absorbing all the oil. It feels very light in texture. The finish with this foundation is very natural, but as it is a matte foundation, you have to be very careful as too much product will end up looking cakey. It evens out my skin tone very well. It does not look chalky at all. The coverage with this foundation is light to medium. I use my concealer for extra coverage as layering up the foundation for more coverage can look heavy. It blends perfectly and gives a velvet matte finish. It does not oxidize at all. There is no sunscreen in it, though personally, I like foundations without sunscreen as they photograph really well, without any white cast.
Now is this foundation really a miracle for oily skin? I am not sure if it is a miracle, but I would say it is highly impressive. The lasting power of this one is unbelievable. It stays on for about 10 hours on me and I don’t need to touch up even once, which I have never experienced with any other foundation. With my oily skin, the maximum I can get even from a matte foundation is about 5 hours before I start looking like a grease monkey, but with this foundation, the oil control is exceptional. I don’t even need to set it with powder. If I use this foundation with their mineral veil primer underneath, my face stays matte for the whole day. As I said, I love the natural finish it gives me, feels like I have no makeup on.
It has not irritated my skin or given me any breakouts. It claims to decrease pore size and improve acne scars and it also has anti-aging ingredients. I have not used it long enough to see how true those claims are, but I have positive feelings about it. This foundation is not made for people with dry skin.
Pros of Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation:
- Oil control is exceptional.
- Long lasting.
- Natural finish.
- Feels light on skin.
- Blends perfectly.
- Velvet matte finish.
- Packaging is very good quality.
- Did not break me out.
- Paraben free, has no offensive chemicals.
Cons of Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation:
- It will not work for dry skin people.
- Very expensive.
- Light to medium coverage (I love full coverage foundations as I have lots to conceal and I am lazy to use a concealer every time I get ready).
IMBB Rating:
4.5/5
To summarize, I am in love with this foundation, but not so much with the price. This foundation works wonderfully on my oily and acne-prone skin and I am highly impressed with its staying power. The finish is amazing. It would work wonderfully in summers on people with oily skin. I would love to buy it again whenever it is on sale.
