Anti Ageing Mask

My Experience with Jovees Ayurveda Anti Ageing Face Mask:

I have always had a perception that anti-ageing products should not be used until the 30s. However, that has changed recently and I have started looking at anti-ageing products as precautionary products rather than medicines. With all positive hopes and past experience, I picked up this face mask along with the anti-blemish one which has been reviewed earlier.

Clay Mask

The face mask comes in an opaque tube packaging with a flip-open cap. The packaging is sturdy enough and would not create a mess while travelling. The ingredients list was impressive and that coupled with my recent love for anti-ageing products, got me to pick up this one. The face mask claims to have the goodness of sandal, saffron and honey, and is suitable for normal to dry and dry skin. I missed on this point while purchasing the product as I have oily skin and not dry skin.

Swatch 2

The clay mask comes in a light brown colour, more like the normal clay masks available in the market. It has some small black particles which are not felt on the skin but are visible. I have not been able to understand as of now what these small particles are. The consistency of the mask is neither thick nor runny and is easy to spread. It gives a slight cooling sensation when applied on, which is good for summers, but summers are about to go.

The mask has a faint smell of clay and sandal mixed together. The fragrance is not very strong but lingers on for some time. Although, it is a clay mask, it still takes some time to dry off completely. The instructions say to keep it for 25 minutes.

The face mask makes the skin firm and adds a nice glow to the face. Although the glow does not stay for long, but I like the effects of this clay mask. I do not have any fine lines or wrinkles, so cannot comment on that part. Also, I do not believe any product can help you get rid of them completely. I feel this mask will help me in avoiding fine lines in the long run.

Pros of Jovees Ayurveda Anti Ageing Face Mask:

  • Sturdy packaging.
  • Inexpensive product.
  • Easily available online.
  • Despite being a clay mask, is not overtly drying.
  • Does a decent job.

Cons of Jovees Ayurveda Anti Ageing Face Mask:

  • Some people may not like the fragrance.

Apart from this, I can’t think of any other con.

Final Verdict:

It is a decent mask. At the price that it comes at, can be given a try.  I cannot say anything about the claims to reduce fine lines as I do not have any, but it definitely makes the skin firm and makes me think that it can be a decent product to avoid fine lines and wrinkles. Overall, I am quite liking this product.

  1. i guess one should use these kind of masks as a part of their skin care regime. I dont use clay masks because I have dry skin but sounds pretty good for those who can use it. 🙂

  2. Tanvi…..this is my kind of mask….clay type….I am big time into getting clay masks….good review 🙂

  3. I am surprised that this mask is recommended for dry skinned people. I always thought that clay masks were only for oily or combination types. 😐 Anyway, this sounds like a good product for the monsoons for me. That’s when I try clay for my confused skin. Thanks for the review, Tanvi. 😀
