With all these fun things that summer brings, it also brings with it, every girl’s feared nemesis – The Tan 😛
Today, I have come with a review of a sunscreen by the much loved brand Jovees. It is their avocado and mallow sun protective cream. Read on ladies, to see if it is worth including in our summer skincare routine.
Price: INR 255 for 60 gm
Product Claims: This natural Sun Protective daily use nourishing cream with SPF 40 is water resistant non sticky formulation, easily absorbed into the skin and helps protect the skin against damages caused by sun rays and environment. It contains precious herbal extracts and botanicals that shall also help protect the skin from sun burns, dryness and premature signs of ageing. It shall also help to bring glow to the skin.
My Experience with the Jovees Sun Protective Cream Mallow & Avocado SPF 40:
This cream comes in a handy tube packaging. It is sturdy, compact and travel friendly. The cream itself is not dense or whipped; it has a softer cream lotion like texture.
It gets absorbed quickly and does not leave a white cast behind. But I have an issue with the texture. On absorption the skin feels instantly contracted, no shine, matte finish, but I can feel that something is sitting on the skin. It is difficult to explain, the skin does not feel moisturized and it is an uncomfortable feeling for a first few minutes. I feel it kind of dries my skin out
The sun protection of this cream is decent enough. I would be honest; I do not use it on my face. I purchased this cream as a hand and feet sunscreen, so that I can protect them from getting tanned and the skin from getting sunburns. It does a decent job of it, but is not spectacular or mindblowing. Somehow, in my opinion Neutrogena SPF 50 does a far superior job of protecting the skin from getting burnt or tanned. Another issue, which I have with this sunscreen, is that, the ingredient list is not mentioned. This means that it may have a truckload of harmful ingredients and we would never know!

Final Verdict: In my opinion, it is an affordable and decent sunscreen for hands and feet. It would be better though, if you use the Neutrogena SPF 50.I would not be repurchasing this one.
