I prefer lipstick palettes because they are easy to carry. I gave my L’Oreal Paris Color Riche LA Palette to my dear sister as she was going gaga over it. Thus began my time to look for a bold palette. I recently did a Kiko haul and got these palettes too. I picked up two lipstick palettes: 01 Every Day Colors and 02 Let’s Party. Today’s review is all about Kiko Milano 6-Piece Lipstick Palette 01 Every Day Colors. Read on to know more.

How to Use:
Apply the lipstick texture directly to your lips: start in the centre and work your way outwards to the corners.
Ingredients:
Hydrogenated polydecene, octyldodecanol, caprylic/capric triglyceride, glyceryl behenate/eicosadioate, polyethylene, butyrospermum parkii butter (butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter), cera microcristallina (microcrystalline wax/ cire microcristalline), silica, mica, aroma (flavor), polyhydroxystearic acid, pentaerythrityl tetra-di-t-butyl hydroxyhydrocinnamate, tin oxide. +/- (may contain): ci 77891 (titanium dioxide), ci 77492 (iron oxides), ci 15850 (red 6, red 7 lake), ci 45410 (red 27 lake), ci 19140 (yellow 5 lake), ci 42090 (blue 1 lake).
My Experience with Kiko Milano 6-Piece Lipstick Palette 01 Every Day Colors:
Kiko Milano palette comes in a black cardboard packaging. The ingredient list is present on the back. The outer packaging is pretty decent. The lipstick palette comes in a black case with a transparent lid; the lid closes with a click. The shades are visible through the cap/lid. The palette doesn’t contain a brush or a mirror. For the price, I wish they had included one. The name on the palette might fade away over a period of time.
The palette smells very fruity when opened. The palette consists of every day colors. The palette houses 2 nude shades, 3 shades of reds and an orangey coral. When I first saw the palette, the shades looked powdery but they are extremely creamy and soft. The fruity fragrance stays for some time. The colors are very soft and in summers they tend to be a bit softer. While you can use your fingers to pick up the color, I prefer a brush for hygiene purpose. There are shades suitable for all skin tones.
Shade 1: This shade is light pink in color. I am not a big fan of this shade as it kind of makes me feel I have big lips. The shade might look great on fairer skin tones.
Shade 2: This one is a plum nude shade. I have pigmented lips and this covers my lips perfectly. The shade looks great on my olive skin tone and I love it.
Shade 3: This is a pinkish red shade. I absolutely love the color and I can clearly transform it from day to night look. A little swab creates beautiful pink lips.
Shade 4: This is a magenta red. It is absolutely beautiful and creates a pinkish shade. I sometimes use it as a blush too.
Shade 5: This is a beautiful darker Barbie pink shade. It resembles Lakme Magenta Magic.
Shade 6: This shade is a beautiful, bright orangey-coral shade. It feels great on the lips but it is a bit too bold to carry.
The colors offer a matte finish. The colors are deeply pigmented and can be built up for a good coverage. The reds leave a stain behind. The lip colors have to be applied to well-exfoliated lips. If the lips are not moisturized, the lip product might end up settling into the fine lines or dry patches. If the lips are greasy, the colors do not stick to the lips.
You can easily create ombre or new colors by mixing the colors. The colors stay on the lips for around 4-5 hours; and if you use a good pencil, the colors stay for around 6 hours. The colors do not bleed and the transfer is minimal. I love the combination of the colors and it is suitable for all Indian tones. The reds brighten up my face and the nudes are great for every day when I like to keep it minimal. The palette is great.
The disadvantage of having a palette over normal lipstick is it feels unhygienic; I need to always have a lip brush or a sanitizer around. I need to always carry a mirror along too. The palette is easy to carry around when you are going out for several days. I feel this palette is great and I do not have to carry several lipsticks. I absolutely love this palette!
