I love wearing bold lip shades these days. I bought a violet shade from the Lakme X Masaba collection a few days ago. I wanted to try a metallic violet shade since then. I loved this gorgeous color, so decided to add this to my stash. Know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Kryolan Contour Pencil 914:
Packaging: The product is a basic wooden pencil with a silver body and cap and a color-coded base. The pencil is very long. It is sharpenable, which I think is more hygienic. Although there is product wastage as the pencil is very soft. You may need to sharpen it twice while applying. I think it is okay for a cheap, affordable pencil like this. However, I prefer color-coded caps over color-coded bases as it makes the things easier.
Shade: This is a bluish violet shade with a hint of shimmer in it. The color would look gorgeous on everyone. It brightens up the complexion and helps you to stand out in the crowd. It may look a little bold initially, but you will soon get used to that. I love rocking this with sporty outfits.
Texture and Staying Power: The texture of this pencil is a little too soft. This is the softest among the 6 pencils I have and it keeps breaking if I apply pressure. You have to be very careful and gentle about using it. It glides like a dream on the lips and does not make them dry or patchy at all. But, due to the creamy texture, you may notice a clump of color at certain areas and you will need a lip brush to even that out. I have also noticed the fading of lip wrinkles after applying this and slowly your pout starts looking fuller. I generally do not use any lip pencil separately as with this one, it does the work itself. The color is very creamy matte initially that might get smudged. But, it gets drier with time. It always feels soft and moisturizing on the lips. It stays on for 7-8 hours without any noticeable fading.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is insane. It covers all the lip pigmentation in one go. I have highly pigmented upper lip. When I apply this, both the lips look uniform after a single coating of color. I generally use an oil-based cleanser to remove the product completely and then pamper the lips with a dose of boroline.
Overall, I am in love with this. It is a vibrant color that is perfect for the festive season and I am enjoying using this one.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Kryolan Contour Pencil 914?
Maybe I will try similar shades with different formulas as it is too soft. I think this is a beautiful shade and everyone should give it a try.
