As much as we love putting our makeup on, taking it off is something that we all hate. However, it is a very important step and we should avoid it at all. I prefer regular cleansers for everyday makeup, but I love adding some products in my stash that works well to take off water-proof, full-coverage products. This gel cleanser from Kryolan looked pretty promising and I decided to give it a try. Read the details to know my experience with the product.
Dermacolor Cleansing Gel is a specially developed remover gel for regular use. Enriched with plant oils for gentle make-up removing. The remaining oil film may be rinsed off with water.
My Experience with Kryolan Dermacolor Cleansing Gel:
Packaging: The product comes inside a white paper carton which has some details written in it. The gel is packed in a white plastic tube with green cap and you will have to squeeze out the product. I prefer this kind of packaging over tubs as tubes are more hygienic. There is a leaflet that has the details of this range printed. The tube fits in your bag easily and you can carry it with your makeup easily.
Color/Texture and Smell: The product has a semi-opaque white gel kind of consistency which is neither too heavy nor too light. It blends out smoothly on the skin even without water. It has a mild fragrance of jasmine and coconut oil to it. It smells very similar to the Huda foundation actually.
Effectivity: You will need twice a pea-nut sized amount to take off all the heavy makeup form your face. It blends out well and melts all the makeup even when it is waterproof. As you massage the gel, you will see that everything is coming off. You can wash it with water only, but I always prefer washing it off with foam-based cleanser to ensure complete cleansing. It leaves the face squeaky clean without any trace of residue. You face won’t feel dry or oily after using this. However, it has mineral oils which may not suit all skin types.
It is mild, gentle and effective at the same time. It does not irritate the eyes too and so you can use it to take of the mascara or gel liners too. As it does not dry out your face, you may skip your moisturizer if you are feeling too lazy after completing the Herculean task of taking the makeup off. :p
Overall, I am happy with the product. I use it to take of my heavy party makeup. It does the job well and I have no complains with this product.
