As a kid, I loved the maroon color. I had so many maroon frocks and I used to buy a new one for every Durga puja. I have grown up now (to some extent, I believe). So, instead of buying a maroon dress, I decided to opt for this maroon glitter pot! Know if it made the child in me happy!

My Experience with Kryolan Polyester Glimmer Fine Maroon:
Packaging: The glitter comes in a small, plastic, transparent, round pot with transparent lid. There is a hole in the pot that helps you to take out the glitter. The lid shuts pretty tightly and the lightweight pots are thus very travel-friendly. The shade name and other details are mentioned at the bottom of the pot. Due to the transparent packaging, you can know the color from outside too. This is not a luxurious packaging but a very convenient one for professional artists. If you are someone clumsy like me, just be a little careful while bringing out the product. You may end up bringing out more than you need and putting it back in the pot is a tedious task.
Texture: This has a very fine texture with fine shimmers. When applied, the glitters adhere to each other which helps in maintaining the continuity. I love how smooth it feels on the lids.
Color: Although the color looks maroon in the pot, once blended on the skin, it becomes more of a violet shade with a reddish undertone. The color, however, is gorgeous and will be perfect for your party nights. It suits every skin tone and the shimmers in it make it all the more beautiful.
Staying Power: Although it adheres to the skin on its own, I prefer using it with a mixing medium (I use Inglot Duraline). It is not messy post the application. The fallouts during application can be taken care of using cello tapes. Cello tape can be used to remove the glitters too and then a swipe of a good oil-based cleanser (I use a coconut oil-castor oil mixture) cleans everything without any residue remaining. The product is very comfortable and lightweight too. I have sensitive skin and eyes and it never causes any irritation. However, it is better to be a little cautious about the application and make sure that the particles don’t get inside your eyes.
Overall, I am in love with this one. It is such a gorgeous color for my skin tone. I may also mix it with my blush someday to see some extra effect.
