In the world of eye makeup orange is the queen at present. I love how orange adds the vibrant burst of colour to the eyes. I wanted to have orange glimmer in the stash along with my matte products. So, I decided to give Kryolan Polyester Glimmer Fine Orange a try. Read on to know if I liked it or not.
Price: £6.30 for 4 g
Polyester glimmer is a stunning product for creating beautiful, sparkling effects on body and hair. It can be applied directly to the skin or on top of Multi gel, Hydro Spirit gum or Supracolor for longer lasting effects. It is available in 3 gradients of particle size from fine to coarse.
My Experience with Kryolan Polyester Glimmer Fine Orange:
The glitters come in a small, plastic, transparent, round pot with a transparent lid. There is a hole in the pot that helps you to take out the glitter. The lid shuts pretty tightly and the lightweight pots are thus very travel-friendly. The shade name and other details are mentioned at the bottom of the pot.
Due to the transparent packaging, you can know the colour from outside too. This is not a luxurious packaging but a very convenient one for professional artists. If you are clumsy, like me, just be a little careful while pouring the product out. You may end up bringing more than you need and putting the product back in the pot is a tedious task.
This product has a very fine texture with fine shimmer particles. When applied, the glitters adhere to each other, which leads to even application. I love how smooth it feels on the lids.
This colour is such a gorgeous orange shade. It definitely qualifies as the “new black”. The golden shimmers in it make it even more perfect. I think everyone can wear this bold shade without the fear of looking OTT. I have already imagined myself sporting this on my eyelids for my wedding makeup and now I have a reason to get married! This shade will look great for all your Indian festive looks. It is more suitable for night looks as it may become a little too much during the day times.
Although it adheres to the skin on its own, I prefer using it with a mixing medium (I use Inglot Duraline). It is not messy post-application. The fall outs during application can be taken care of using cello-tapes. Cello-tape can be used to remove the glitters too and then a swipe of a good oil-based cleanser (I use a coconut oil-castor oil mixture) cleans everything without leaving any residue. The product is very comfortable and lightweight. It sits easily on the skin without causing any heaviness or discomfort. The product does not cause any irritation on the eyes either and that is definitely a plus point if you have sensitive skin.
I am in love with this one. It is such a gorgeous colour for my skin tone. I may also mix it with my blush someday to see some extra effect.
