My Experience with L. A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint Coy:
Beginning with the packaging of the product, it is super cute. The color-coded tubes are easy to spot in the makeup stash and looks super cute. The detailing is printed on it in quirky fonts. It is an easy squeeze tube with a nice metallic gold colored screw-on cap. The cap closes tightly and makes the tube leak-proof. The tube is handy and easy to carry in handbag. It has a normal plastic slant tip and applicator. Though the slant tip is helpful in giving précised application, I feel that it would have been better if the applicator was a foamy one. Overall, the packaging is really nice and travel-friendly.
“Coy” is a beautiful pastel purple color. It reminds of the purple lipstick worn by Aishwarya Rai in previous Cannes festival. But, this shade is more vibrant and brighter. This is a refreshing color and quite a nice option for this summer. It is different from usual pinks. I don’t know why I love purple lippies these days so much. They look so pretty on the lips. I like this color. This is flattering for fair to medium skin tones. Such pastel hues are not everyone’s cup of tea. It is a lovely color that brightens up the complexion. The color is good for both daytime and nighttime wear.
The lipstick is super pigmented. It gives semi-opaque coverage in a single swipe. I apply two coats, which helps me in hiding the pigmentation of the lips and delivers opaque rich pigment on the lips. The color is easily buildable. The finish of this lipstick is glossy, but it is not super shiny. I love the soft sheen it has. There are no shimmers in this lip paint. It gives a nice tingling sensation to the lip due to menthol.
The texture of the lipstick is soft and smooth. The formula is creamy more like a liquid lipstick. Hence, it glides effortlessly on the lips without any tugging or pulling. The consistency is a little runny and the product oozes out with a little squeezing of the tube. So, I have to be extra careful while squeezing the tube. It looks thick like lip paint. Initially, I tried applying this with a lip brush, but that did not work and then I applied directly from the tube. The tube itself helps in giving précised lip lines and gives smoother application. Since it is a pale shade, it has some streaking issues that can be managed by pursing the lips together. It looks even and smooth after that. The lip paint adheres to the lips nicely. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. The lipstick has a tendency to transfer due to its creaminess. The formula feels comfortable on the lips. It does not have that thick or waxy kind of texture. The glossy sheen remains as it is all the time. It looks so fresh and beautiful. It is non-drying on the lips and helps in providing mild moisturization to the lips.
The lasting power is around 4-4.5 hours on my lips with normal sipping of water. But, it does not survive heavy meals and fades away leaving a light hint of color on the lips. Its glossy sheen vanishes completely and a light stain is visible on the lips. Removing the lipstick is easy. It wipes off without much effort.
