Lakme Mystic Mauve Fantasy Shimmer Liner Review

Writing for IMBB is very addictive. Now, whenever I go out my eyes keep searching for different brands and cosmetics that I can indulge myself into and share my experience with you guys! Today, I am reviewing another Lakme Fantasy Shimmer Liner that I have. Not that these are new launches, but they are very stable in the market now. I think they are overpowered by the Absolute range from Lakme.

Claims:

This smudge-free, gel based liner is infused with micro-fine glitter particles that add the perfect shimmer for fun, dramatic and beautiful eyes.

Packaging:

These eyeliners do not have any specific packaging. It is just a plastic paper wrapped around them. These eyeliners come in a small bottle with an elongated thin golden cap which actually is the applicator. Very sleek and travel friendly. The bottle is not actually transparent, but the color can be spotted easily and be distinguished.

My Experience with Lakme Mystic Mauve Fantasy Shimmer Liner:

There are a total of eight shades in these. Astral Green, Mystic Mauve, Indigo Star, Pink Crystal, Bronze Mist, moonshine Top Coat, Glimmer Blue and Midnight Moon. Midnight Moon and Moonshine Top Coat have already been reviewed on IMBB. I have also reviewed Glimmer Blue. Today, I am reviewing Mystic Mauve.

Mystic Mauve is pretty purple eyeliner. Although, it says Mauve, I think it looks more of a purple when it dries. These eyeliners are supposed to have shimmer, but Mystic Mauve does not have any chunky shimmer particles. It seems to have a basic silver tint that does not shine like glitter. When wet, you can see it shining. But when it dries, it settles down to look like a matte purple shade. It has a smooth texture. The pigmentation here is very good. You don’t need multiple swipes and just single swipe gives the desired results. There does not appear to be much difference between single and multiple swipes. This range of eyeliners has amazing staying power and can be removed only with an eye makeup remover. Once dried, it is smudge proof and would not budge a bit. Also, it is waterproof.

Similar to Glimmer Blue Liner, Mystic Mauve also has a thick consistency. Also, layering causes it to crack. When you remove the liner with a makeup remover, it comes off in pieces and chunks and one might need to rub more in order to remove it. The elongated and sleek cap, which is basically the applicator, has a good grip to hold on to. But, a lot of product is picked up by the applicator. Over a period of 6-9 months, these eyeliners have a tendency to get thicker.
