I have reviewed quite a few shades from Lakme’s Enrich Matte lip color range (RM10, WM11, BM12). Here comes another shade #RM15 from my collection. Read on further for more details on this particular shade.

My Take on Lakme RM15 Enrich Matte Lipstick:

The lipstick comes in a boring Lakmé packaging. It has a matte silver colored plastic casing with a clear cap. The cap shuts tightly making it travel friendly. This lipstick tube comes in a silver colored cardboard packaging that has product description, etc., mentioned on it, but the ingredients list is missing, like all other Lakme makeup products. This lipstick has been given a shade number hence it becomes a little difficult to associate the shade with a particular number. Overall, the packaging is fine and travel friendly.

The shade #RM15 is a rich plum shade. It has fine micro shimmers in it, which are silver in color. The shimmers are very small and non chunky. These shimmers are not much visible on the lips. This is such a nice shade for the coming winters. It is so bold and bright, so not an everyday shade. This particular shade brightens up my face instantly.

The pigmentation of the lipstick is decent. Two-three swipes are required to get an opaque finish. It nicely hides pigmented lips. This is a versatile shade that will flatter almost every Indian skin tone pretty well. This lipstick has a funny smell that is quite bothering and unpleasant.

The texture is very smooth and creamy. It glides effortlessly on the lips without any dragging. The formula is lightweight and feels comfortable on the lips. It does not have that thick or waxy texture. It sets to a matte finish on the lips. The lipstick clings to the dry patches of the lips and highlights them badly, so proper exfoliation of the lips is a must. But, it is not a con actually; it’s a rule for almost every matte lip color that you are applying. The formula of the lipstick is slightly moisturizing. It does not dry out my lips and keeps my lips moisturized for 3-4 hours easily.

The creaminess of the lipstick causes it to transfer very easily though the color never gets patchy. The staying power of this lip color is some 5 hours or so on my lips with minimal fading but without having any meals or anything. The color fades off easily after a full meal and settles into the fine lines of the lips. It leaves a pinkish to purplish stain on the lips that can be easily be taken off using a good makeup remover.
