I am back after a mini break, fresh and happy after a trip to my homeland. Today, I have this new launch from L’Oreal to review. In addition to the existing range of Mat Magique, L’Oreal has come up with this affordable all-in-one compact. Read on to know how true are the claims of the product:
Rs. 399/- for 6 gm.
My Experience with L’Oreal Mat Magique All In One Matte Transforming Powder:
The outer paper carton has detailed information about the product. The compact comes in a double compartment style with a white sponge for application. The top of the compact is transparent and gives a view of the product inside. There is a small complaint here; anybody would have loved to have a mirror for touch ups on the go. Nevertheless, the rest of the packaging is pretty and girly. Add a mirror L’Oreal and you would just be bang on with the packaging.
The compact comes in 6 shades with warm and neutral undertones. More shades would definitely be welcome as I found little option for the dusky girls. The compact applies sheer on the first go, but the coverage can be built up without looking cakey. The matte effect stays for a pretty long time, of course depending on the situation you are in.
In air conditioned environment, the matte effect stays put for approximately 4-5 hours, but as I was exposed to hot and humid weather recently for quite a few times, I could feel the effect last for 3 hours maximum. The claims of staying all day long is definitely exaggerated, you have to touch up after a while. For reference, I have combination to oily skin.
I quite liked the fact that it comes with SPF, so even if you are applying sunscreen, this would come in as an added protection to the skin. The sponge provided is of good quality and does not scratch or irritate the skin. This is a good option for everyday use if you do not have much blemishes to cover up.
For a made-up party look, you have to use a concealer to get the flawless finish to the makeup.
Pros of L’Oreal Mat Magique All In One Matte Transforming Powder:

Cons of L’Oreal Mat Magique All In One Matte Transforming Powder:
- No mirror.
- Exaggerated claims.
