Hey gorgeous ladies,
I am back with another gorgeous review about Lush’s gorgeous moisturiser 🙂 I was thinking of buying this product since a long time, but I used to think paying 75$ for a moisturiser is too much, way too much. One fine day, the store girl somehow convinced me to buy it and I am happy that I bought it. The store lady even told me a little story behind manufacturing of this moisturiser, originally they invented this luxury product for Princess Diana, Yeah! You heard it right and later Lush started to sell it as gorgeous moisturiser
AUD 74.95 for 45 gm.
Around 14 months (they mention manufacturing and expiry date on tub, don’t forget to watch it, and make sure you buy the product which is manufactured recently).
Sometimes only very best will do. This is our ultimate face cream, the one where we didn’t hold back and used the very best, most effective ingredients in nature’s store cupboard, with no expense spared.
How To Use:
Use on face with gentle upward strokes.
My Experience with Lush Gorgeous Facial Moisturiser:
I have been using this product since the last 6 months, and I love it. I use it daily once or twice. In the morning after cleansing my face with Lush’s 9 to 5 cleanser, I take a tiny amount of product with my finger and apply all over my face and neck with light upward stokes; just 2-3 strokes and it’s invisible. I still continue to massage for another minute or so, to make sure it absorbs deeply and can work its best. Before putting fingers into the tub, make sure it is clean.
After application, I put on sunscreen separately as it does not contain any SPF. Sad!
Later, I wear my daily makeup and then I am ready to go! It serves as a great makeup base. I love the pleasant scent of product, it lingers for an hour or so, and then vanishes.
The most important thing about this product is that it’s herbal and organic. Out of the total 22 ingredients, only 5 are not natural, but they are skin safe synthetic ingredients. They have used some very best ingredients available which are great for skin.
Packaging: It’s a simple black plastic tub made from recycled plastic with screw cap. Packaging is one of very few bad things about this product. The tub is NOT at all travel friendly. Once I carried a tub in my handbag with me and after an hour or something, I felt something wet in my bag. The cream leaked from the tub and it was all over the stuff in my bag 🙁 It’s so, annoying. I expect more from Lush when I pay 75 bucks. They can do better, right? But now I try and keep the product safely in a cupboard cabinet, upright direction.
Texture: Consistency of the cream is just like a lightweight moisturiser. It melts into your skin in a few strokes. The product has a very light creamy yellow colour and floral aromatic smell.
Pros of Lush Gorgeous Facial Moisturiser:
- Makes skin feel young, soft and supple.
- After regular use, skin feels plump, hydrated, and I noticed my skin has a natural radiance.
- Absorbs quickly into the skin.
- Skin does not look oily after application.
- A little product goes a long way.
- Delicate floral scent.
Cons of Lush Gorgeous Facial Moisturiser:
- Price– OMG! It’s too costly for a moisturiser.
- Packaging – worst packaging ever for this costly product.
- Unhygienic – every time you need to dip your fingers in the tub, it can contaminate the product.
- No SPF.
Would I Recommend Lush Gorgeous Facial Moisturiser?
Yes! If you don’t have any problem with spending this much money on a moisturiser, go for it.
I overall love the product. Makes skin feel soft, supple and hydrated after using for one week or so.
4/5 (- 1 for packaging and price).
Take care 🙂
