MAC Antiqued Eyeshadow

I am reviewing a MAC product after a long time here. This time,an eyeshadow.

MAC Antiqued Eyeshadow

As I have just started experimenting with eyemakeup,I usually pick up colours that can be used all over the lid.I love wearing bright colours,be it eyeshadows or lip colours. This time,I chose a neutral shade that can be worn anytime.

About the shade: The shade Antiqued is of veluxe pearl finish. It is a brown with orange undertones and slight golden shimmer.

Price: Rs.680(old price) and Rs.720(new price) for the refill.

Some of the stores still have the products in the old price.I was lucky as I got it for Rs.680.

Quantity: 1.5 grams

Pigmentation: Decently pigmented.I would not say awesome but not bad at all.

Staying power:

Very good.I applied it and it stayed on my very oily lids for more than 6 hours and that is more than enough for me.It never creased.I use MAC Painterly paint pot as a base but if you want the colour to stand out better, then you can use Indianwood or groundwork.

It has a very smooth texture with minimum fall out.

My experience with the product:

I would say this is a very safe eye colour for any Indian. It would compliment warm skintones also. This is a festive colour and can be used for bridal makeup and also goes well with sarees and salwars. It can be paired with a dark brown or black eyeshadow.I have just used this as an over all lid colour to show you the real shade.

Cons of MAC Antiqued Eyeshadow

Apart from the price,I do not see any con.

My rating:4.5/5

Would I recommend:Yes.Both warm and cool skintones can try this.

  1. Preetha you have so much MAC and Inglot products :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:
The shade is super good, its too good on your eyes :preen: :preen: :preen: :preen:

  2. Preetha, It’s a gorgeous color. isnt it close to amberlights? or may be amberlights is more goldeny and yellow. Loved how it looks on your eyes. 🙂 What would you pair it up with lipstick and blush wise? 🙂

    1. Hey Rati..this is more bronzy and has some red undertones in it..definitely darker than amberlights..I love pairing this with a brown lipstick n peach blush..wat would u suggest?..n ya thanks for the lovely compliments :yahoo:

      1. ummm.. i feel more cooler tones would go with this.. am not sure that is why asked. Warm tones all over wouldn’t make it a little overwhelming? Peach blush would work i feel but may be a cooler toned peachy / coraly lipstick. I am just thinking out loud. :))
