Faces Eye Shine Single Eyeshadow 04 Black
Hello Everyone, Today, I am going to review the Faces Eye Shine Single Eyeshadow 04 Black. It is very recently that I have got to know Faces as a brand and the first product that I decided to buy from there was the single eye shadow in black. I have been long searching for a black eye shadow single, but could not find many options, and then my sister found this Faces single eye shadow in Black for me and I’m so glad that she did.
Price:
Rs. 199 for 3 g.
What Does the Product Claim?
• Vitamin E and Almond-nut Oil enriched.
• Easy blend ability provides homogenous and crease free uniform coverage.
• Unique water ,sweat and tear resistant formula.
• Lanolin free.
How To Use:
Apply the eyeshine and blend it uniformly with the help of applicator over upper eyelid and the area below the eyebrow from inner to outer direction. Follow with a medium shade and build on this with a darker shade on crease.

My Take on Faces Eye Shine Single Eyeshadow 04 Black:
Well, to begin with, I absolutely love the color. It is not jet black and it is not grey, it is somewhere in between, and matte finish and because of that, it becomes very easy to carry this color without looking too made up. The texture of the eyeshadow is smooth and it blends easily. The only problem that I face is the pigmentation. It is medium pigmented and you cannot use this eyeshadow without a base, it just wouldn’t show up. A base and for that matter any base would make this color show up beautifully. I have used this with a white eyeshadow base and a shimmery base and therefore I can say this color is quite versatile. With a white base, it looked grayish and a soft day wear color and with the shimmery base, this looked darker and more pretty and a little shiny, so quite a night wear color.
I reach for this color very often when I am doing smokey eyes and it just makes my task very easy. It has an in-built mirror too which is not of much use to me, but looks good. This does not come with any applicator, which is okay, because I never use the tiny applicators that come with eye shadows, they are so useless. 😛
What I Like about Faces Eye Shine Single Eyeshadow 04 Black:
• Great color.
• Smooth texture.
• Blends easily.
• Easy on pocket.
• Cute packaging.
• Sturdy tub.
• Easily available.
• Value for money.
• Stays for long without creasing with a primer, I checked for up to 6 hours and then I took off makeup, but I think, it would have stayed for a little more time.
What I Don’t Like about Faces Eye Shine Single Eyeshadow 04 Black:
- The pigmentation could have been better.
- Can’t be used without a primer.
- No indication of color on the outside.
- Doesn’t have an applicator, which can be a con for some.
Will I Repurchase?
Well, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to finish the one that I have so no question of repurchasing.
Here is how it looked on my lids. Pardon me for the dark images, it was sunset and I didn’t want to use flash because it alters the color completely.

me have this one…if u want like real dark black..apply kaajal as base and then this…works beautifully that way too..i have only tried in ghar pe wen i was playin with it..havent ever vetured out with black e/s.. :chewnails

Me toh apply black cream eyeshadow from Faces everyday..and so happy about how magically it transforms my eyes….. I love the effect it gives..I simply take a flat eyeshadow brush and apply it above my upper lashline…and smudge it a bit…then I apply thin line of liquid eyeliner very close to the lashline…and then mascara…
It gives a soft smokey look to the eyes that looks really beautiful..I’ve received so many compliments on this technique…. 😀 😀 and no matter how much your eye makeup smudges or fades..it just keeps getting beautiful with this kind of makeup!! 😛

I think I’ll gives Faces a try now. :toothygrin: This seems nice for toned down smoky eyes,but personally,I would rather get a jet black and apply it with a light hand or something. :tongue:

Hey Pragnyadeepta, I saw some new eyeshadows at Bourjois , and there is one matte black which is super pigmented and really dark, and double the price of this..try it, I’m sure you’ll love it!! 🙂 otherwise, this is a great budget buy for everyday wear.. :))
