I hope you are enjoying our shopping haul gals 😛 Today, I am going to share another red shade of NYC Liquid Lipshine Lip Gloss with all of you which is a deep wine red color from NYC – Wine n Dine.  It is an amazing goodie which is definitely a hit for matured ladies and mums. Have you heard the gossip? There’s a new gloss in town! NYC New York Color Liquid Lip Shine is getting headlines with seriously high-drama color at a seriously low price. Pure pigments give a 3-D effect that’s off-the-charts glossy. Tons of hot new shades, from preppy nudes to bold statement hues – all for less than your weekly fashion magazine.

Packaging:

This slight runny shimmery lip gloss comes in as usual rectangular plastic packaging with long flexible applicator tip which is slightly different than traditional doe-foot applicator tips. It is completely travel friendly and mildly scented goodie. No one can say “no” to this goodie by looking at packaging and great price.

My Experience with New York Color Liquid Lipshine Lip Gloss – Wine n Dine:

Since this shade belongs to my mum-in-law now, I will narrate her personal experience with all of you. This is the most favourite shade of my mum-in-law, let me tell you. She owns “Classic Wine” and “Make Me Blush,” which are wine shades from L’Oreal Colour Riche lipstick range and now this “Wine n Dine.” Needless to say, she is fond of deep reds and browns. For me, it is a dicey goodie as I am not fond of deep reds, I like pinkish red and cherry red more.  As the name suggests, “Wine n Dine” is a deep wine red shade with slight magenta shimmers if one can figure out 😛 It instantly brightens up face and gives full coverage on lips. Just one swipe is enough to get wine red tint on lips and it gives perfect pigmentation in just 2-3 swipes. I feel it is great for almost every skin tone, be it fairer or medium or dusky beauty.  However, fair ones may find this shade to be a little loud on them.  Moreover, this shade seems to be an ultimate choice for matured beauties again as my mum in law loves this shade the most.  She wore this shade more gracefully and confidently.

Coming over to its texture, it is also slight runny like my previous “Midtown Mulberry” lip gloss, but it has a glossy stickiness as well. It is also very easy and mess free to wear this shade on lips, seems a must-have shade for party purpose and wedding or festive occasions. Even if she wears this shade on dry lips, it glides smoothly and also smoothes the unevenness around lips. We are also surprised with decent staying power of lip gloss, it manages to stay up to 4-5 hours with deep tint on the lips.

After 5-6 hours, the reddish tint fades gracefully leaving behind shimmery glossy shine for a few hours which is fine and does not look odd anyway.  Overall, we both feel these are fully “paisa wasool” goodies and perfect choice for wedding occasions or gifting in close family. She already bought 4-5 lip glosses of this shade for elders in our family, as soon we are going to have a grand wedding of my mum-in-law’s niece in coming November. Again, I will be missing the fun 🙁

Let’s sum up the pros and cons:

Pros of New York Color Liquid Lipshine Lip Gloss – Wine n Dine:

• Beautiful deep wine red lip gloss with fine magenta shimmers.
• The gloss seems runny but does not bleed on lips.
• It is not much sticky, a completely mess-free goodie.
• Glides smoothly even on dry lips.
• Smooths the uneven area around lips as well.
• Decent staying power of 4-5 hours with heavy meals and water sips.
• Even if the gloss fades away, it leaves behind a shimmery glow on lips which looks fine.
• Travel friendly and “paisa wasool” packaging.

Cons of New York Color Liquid Lipshine Lip Gloss – Wine n Dine:

• Staying power could have been more than 6 hours (however, we don’t mind touch ups).

As of now, we only feel it would have been great if these glosses stay for more than 5 hours on lips as they give very pretty pigmentation on lips especially for weddings, but never mind, my mum-in-law always keeps her small hand clutch full of goodies for touch ups as well 😀 I would say this is a must-have shade for wedding season.
