NYX has finally launched their Lip Lingerie range in India and obviously, I have to pick at least one shade, so I purchased the shade called Cabaret Show. I expected it to be a warmer and deeper color but it turns out to be a gorgeous nude for my medium skin tone. Read on to know more about it.

My Experience with NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick Cabaret Show:
Packaging: NYX Lip Lingerie Lipstick comes in a nice, long clear tube with a black cap. Clear packaging makes it easy to identify the color. It also has a nice long applicator wand that works perfectly to apply the color on lips. The sponge defines the lips well without any struggle. It is a very simple packaging that I can carry easily. Also, these are quite affordable as well.
Shade: This range offers 24 beautiful shades and most of the shades are from nude family. You can find your best nude lipstick from this range as it has shades for all skin tones. I picked the shade ‘Cabaret Show’ which is a beautiful MLBB shade for my medium skin tone. It is actually a neutral mauve shade and sometimes, it looks slightly gray toned on me, especially during the night. It looks different under various lights as well. It just gives me that beautiful nude lips which I love a lot. But, it might wash out dusky beauties.
Now, I love such mauve shades on me which can go with any makeup. It doesn’t contain any shimmers either. The shade is super pigmented which requires single stroke for the perfect color pay off. It evenly occupies my lips and can hide pigmented lips as well.
Texture and Quality: This lipstick has a soft creamy almost mousse-like texture that smoothly glides on lips without any tugging. It doesn’t create any problem during application and it works easily on the lips. It doesn’t feel patchy or heavy. The formula doesn’t feel sticky either. It settles down into a beautiful matte texture which looks flawless on lips. But, it is not a super hydrating lipstick. It never feels that chapped dry on lips, still if you have extremely dry lips, you might need a balm underneath it. I feel quite comfortable with it. I have tried their Soft Matte range as well which is more hydrating than this one. But, the formula and quality are better of this range. It dries out quickly and settles into a transfer-proof, smudge-proof and waterproof lipstick. I somehow love the formula which never highlights my dry patches and also never settles down into the fine lines.
Staying Power: Like it claims, it stays long for around 7 hours and it can survive meal as well. But, after having an oily heavy meal, it slightly looks faded from the center. Otherwise, it looks good throughout the day. Also, reapplication is quite easy and doesn’t make it patchy but it definitely makes lips heavy. Still, after few minutes, it turns into a comfortable texture. Now, as it is a smudge-proof lipstick, it takes time to remove and so, I have to clean it with an oil based remover.
Overall, though it is not that shade which I had expected, still it looks really good on me. I love all my nude shades and this is the current one which I am obsessed with.
