Outfit of the Day: Pink Green and Purple Quick Saree
Hello!
It has been a while since I have made a post on IMBB! Right after exams, almost every weekend, I have been either to a baby shower, wedding, engagement parties. etc. Of course, I am very tired but I also love that I get to dress up and doll up! *hehe*
This past weekend, I attended a wedding where I wore one of my most favorite sari that I had ordered online. You will see in the pictures why I call it a “quick” sari. The main reason I call it a quick sari is because there is no folding in the front or as most of us call it “patli.” It simply looks like a lehenga where I tied the dupatta Bengali style.
But NO, the bottom is not a lehenga. It is a typical sari which you wrap around twice and just put the dupatta Bengali style, you basically skip the “patli” portion. This style makes it so easy to walk in. I live in Texas, and the wedding took place in southern Texas. Not only was it extremely hot but very humid!
I decided that since my sari was bit too fancy compared to what the other guests were wearing, I would only wear large earrings, a simple ring, and a few bangles. I left my hair, in its natural state. I didn’t want to straighten it or curl it, since I knew in the humidity it would frizz up.
Once again since I wanted the sari to stand out, I took it easy on the makeup. I focused more on getting a flawless face makeup and played up my lips using a nice semi-bright pink lip.
I hope you all enjoyed my first OOTD post!
