Pixi Fairy Light Solo Eye Shadow – No.2 Champagne Glow
Hi Everyone,
I will be reviewing here today an eye shadow that I got from an UK-based brand called Pixi. I am not really an eye makeup person and I rarely purchase single eye shadows (I love my Coastal Scents Hot Pots).
This eye shadow was a part of a makeup kit from Pixi that I purchased online a few days ago. I have more products from this brand and I will be reviewing them soon.

Expert Tips and Tricks:
Lighter shades designed to be swished on with a single stroke over lid, brow bone and under eye for eye lightening effect. Darker shades can be used in crease and as liner to sculpt & define eyes. Use a large fluffy brush for a sheer effect, or a shorter bristle brush for more colour payoff.

About No.2 Champagne Glow:
The shade that I have is No.2 Champagne Glow. While it looks copper-ish, slightly pink in the pan, but when you apply/swatch, it turns out to be a neutral, shimmery shade, very true its name (champagne). It is the kind of shade you can easily coordinate with almost all of your outfits/looks.
This can be applied as it is, all over the lid, can be used as a highlighter on the brow bone, or even in the inner corner of the eye.

Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Ascorbyl Palmitate, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil. May Contain: [+/- Black Iron Oxide (CI 77499), Yellow Iron Oxide (CI 77492), Red Iron Oxide (CI 77491), Mica & Iron Oxide (CI 77019, CI 77491), Mica & Titanium Dioxide (CI 77019, CI 77891), Mica & Titanium Dioxide & Tin Oxide (CI 77019, CI 77891, CI 77861)].

14 dollars (INR 700-720) for 2.29 g/0.08 oz.
Packaging:
The eye shadow comes in a cute, simple, neat, plastic casing with a see-through lid. If you can notice, the eye shadow pan has a little fairy engraved on it, which is the logo of this brand Pixi.
It comes with no mirror or applicator. I was trying to take out/depot the eye shadow pan so that I could place it in my eye shadow palette, but failed to do so. The eye shadow is so soft that it started to crumble; so I gave up the idea of depoting it.
Texture:
Now, I haven’t used MAC eye shadows and can’t compare the quality of this eye shadow with others, but this is certainly one of the best I have used till date.
The texture is extremely soft and smooth. The eye shadow applies and blends easily on the eye lids. I guess the shea butter, jojoba oil, etc., as stated in the ingredients list make this eye shadow so wonderfully soft. The downside however is that if you have extremely oily lids, they may crease off in no time.

- Good pigmentation, even without a primer.
- The shade Champagne Glow can also be used as a highlighter.
- The shimmer it has is very fine and not gritty.

- Just slight fall out.
- Suitable for sensitive eyes.
- Packaged well.
- Parabens free.
What I Didn’t Like about Pixi Fairy Light Solo Eye Shadow – No.2 Champagne Glow:
- Limited shade selection.
- Not great for very oily eyelids.
- Crease after 5-6 hours since these have shea butter.
- Non-availability in India.
- Price/Expensive for a single eye shadow.
