Today I will be talking about a miracle product that my mom has been using for the last 6 months. Ranbaxy Yugard Facial Cream has been a much talked about product in the skin care circle; recommended by experts and dermatologists. Ranbaxy gave a hit with this cream targeted for mature ageing skin. In fact Yugard by Ranbaxy is often prescribed by dermatologists for acne scars, hyper pigmentation caused by sun damage and as an anti-aging cream for wrinkles. Let’s get into an in-depth review of this cream.

Product Description: A targeted action preparation for Acne, Pimples, Blackheads, Ageing, Fine Lines on face, Wrinkles & Darkening.
My Experience with Ranbaxy Yugard Facial Cream:
There isn’t much to write about. It comes in a simple tube with a screw open cap. The tube is similar to most other medicated ointments available commercially. It is small, travel friendly and convenient to use.
Before I tell you how it works, let me brief you about my mother’s skin type. She is in her forties, so evidently her skin is mature and needs delicate care. Though she doesn’t have wrinkles, she has a tendency of pigmentation and fine lines around her eyes and temples. So I looked for a retinol based cream which would act on her skin without any irritation and burning. This cream was much raved about on the internet and I decided to invest in it.
It is 0.15 % retinol cream. Being a retinol cream, it helps to reduce blemishes and scars. Since the retinol concentration is low, you can use it without worries. Retinol equal to or lower than this percentage is used in many cosmetic grade creams like L’Oréal Paris Revitalift night cream, but this one acts better. You don’t need to use it every day, my mother started using it twice a week, increased it to four times and soon got back to twice a week.
So you apply it on clean face, and particularly on areas of concern. Its non-sticky consistency of spreads well, feels silky smooth. It absorbs but leaves a thin silky film on skin surface.
Coming to its performance, if you have light blemishes they will fade by a month. For stubborn marks and scars, within three months you will see significant results. It evens out skin texture, reduces patches and blemishes. Since retinol containing creamsprevent collagen breakdown in the skin, this cream helps to lessen crow’s feet and laugh lines. My mom’s fine lines diminished within a few weeks of using this. Also it promotes cell renewal, so you find dullness replaced by fresh even skin.
One tube lasts around 3 months with judicious use, my mom is on her second tube. This is amazing for ladies aged 40 and above, it really creates a difference in how your skin looks and feels. A word of caution: stop using it if you notice any irritation using this. Retinoids are not meant for all skin types. Also very dry skin might feel that this dries out skin. So apply this, leave on for an hour or two, allowing it to be absorbed and follow up with a night cream or serum. The most essential thing: do not forget to use sunscreen every time you step out.
