My Views on Revlon Photoready Cream Blush – Flushed:

To start with, I got really excited when I saw these at the Bangkok airport last year, and I picked up both the shades that were in stock there. Guess I would have gone more bonkers if there were more shades available, but anyways! This shade is a bright fuchsia pink and fares just a wee bit better than the shade “Pinched” because of the very fact that it is a darker colour, and hence the pay-off is slightly better, but I still have the same thing to say as I did about “Pinched.”

It comes across as a cream blush with a very oily finish, which does not dry to a powder finish, and as for layering, yes you can, but oily skin girls, be prepared for an oil slick on your cheeks.  It gives a hint of a tint with one layer, and all I can possibly use it for is as a cream base for my powder blushes, but can certainly not use it on its own. Now, dry skinned beauties may like the hint of colour it gives, but be prepared to keep swiping and layering it repeatedly on your cheeks. It does not contain any shimmer at all. I tend to reach for this cream blush a lot in winter, just to use it up, albeit as a base for my pink powder blushes. It does not last on its own for even one hour!

Pros of Revlon Photoready Cream Blush – Flushed:

  • It looks like a nice bright pink in the pan.
  • I like the wide round container which makes it easier to apply.
  • The pigmentation in this shade is enough to provide a light cheek tint.
  • According to me, this appears to be fragrance free.
  • Can be used as a base for powder blushes.
  • May suit dry skinned beauties.

Cons of Revlon Photoready Cream Blush – Flushed:

  • Does not provide enough colour on its own to be used as a full coverage blush.
  • Not available in India.
  • Has a greasy finish.
  • Requires multiple swipes for even a slight hint to show up.
  • Gives powder blush a cakey look when applied over this.
  • Not suitable for oily skinned beauties.
  • Does not last even for one hour, it disappears on the skin after application.

However, this shade deserves a very small pat on the back for at least trying!
