“Don’t grow up, it’s a trap”. This is one quote I swear by! Sometimes a few words, make so much sense 🙂 . Anyways, it’s been quite a lot of time since I have written a review. Today I will be sharing with you an eye shadow, one product I am not still able to figure out, whether it’s good or bad. Let’s see how it fares.
White Tea Extract: Provides antioxidant protection skin from environmental aggressors like pollution and UV rays.
What it is:
A range of shadows featuring highly pigmented, long-lasting colors with a glitter finish.
What it does:
Watch makeup go from everyday to extraordinary with this endless array of colors and finishes. These shadows provide superior color, coverage, and long-lasting wear (up to 10 hours) thanks to the Color Eye Last complex, which includes an exclusive combination of up to 70 percent pigments, pearls, and shimmer particles. The shadows are also exceptionally easy to apply with micronized pigments that make for an ultra smooth, blendable texture.
How to use- Suggested usage:
- Apply a light- or medium-colored eye shadow all over the eyelid with an all over shadow brush
- Use a rounded crease brush to apply a darker shade to the outer corner of the eye.
- Blend the contours of the eyes with a clean brush to create a seamless look and avoid a line of demarcation.
- Apply your color dry for a natural look. Apply it wet for a sophisticated look.
- To make eyes look brighter and add depth, apply a touch of a light-colored, metallic, or shimmery shade just below the brow bone as a finishing touch.
- Apply an eye shadow base or eyeliner of the same color before applying shadow for optimal wear.
My Experience with Sephora Colorful Mono Eyeshadow – Wedding Day 24:
Sephora has done a pretty good packaging for the product. It comes in a round pot with a clear lid and study black body. You can also detach the eye shadow out and fix it in your palette. It’s super convenient for travelling and you can toss one in your bag.
In this range Sephora has launched 80 beautiful shades, each with a unique cute name. This product has been named perfectly- Wedding Day! I love this name! Literally, it’s a staple product for a Christian Wedding!
Coming to the colour of the product. As you can see, the colour is white with frosty glitter infused in it. Of course glitter is not everyone’s slice of cake. Also, it’s a colour which sadly is not suitable for all skin tones. Personally, even I can not wear this shade alone. You have to team it up with a darker colour. You can go for it with a dark liner, but again, it’s a colour for special occasions. Definitely not meant for everyday use.
One thing I don’t like about this product is the glitter fallout. In my first attempts of trying this eye shadow, I looked like a panda, but the only difference was that I had frosty glitter all over my eye and cheek. Later I realized, you have to apply it with a wet brush, in order for it to be able to stay on the eye. Also, a primer underneath is a must for this. I don’t understand why, but after a few hours the glitter is no where to be seen and you see a white matte finish over the lids.
Pros of Sephora Colorful Mono Eyeshadow – Wedding Day 24:
- Sturdy packaging.
- Contains white tea extracts.
- Make the eyes stand out.
- Good for people with a fair skin tone.
- Blends well.
Cons of Sephora Colorful Mono Eyeshadow – Wedding Day 24:
- Too much glitter.
- Not meant for Indian skin tones.
- The glitter doesn’t stay for a long time.
- Can be a mess at times.
Would I repurchase/recommend Sephora Colorful Mono Eyeshadow – Wedding Day 24?
Personally, I won’t buy it again. Sephora has 80 shades in this range, I will surely try other shades.
For recommending this to others, I am still not sure about this product. I can’t decide whether I like it or not. I would recommend you to try any other shade. The range has a lot to offer, maybe try a matte colour.
Thank you for reading have a wonderful day! Xoxo
