My Take on Tarte Latergram Tarteist Lip Crayon:

This Tarte Tarteist lip crayon comes in a sleek, retractable pencil form with outer color-coordinated packaging that matches the lip crayon inside. The cap of the crayon closes tightly making it safe to carry around. I observed some issues with the retractable mechanism of the lip crayon; I can twist it out but can’t twist it back in, which leads to product wastage and I am not sure if the mechanism works like that across this range or my piece has a manufacturing fault.
Label

The formula of Tarte Tarteist Lip Crayon in “Latergram” is a bit creamy in texture and glides on with a little pressure. After all, it is a lip crayon and moves on with a little tug compared to lipsticks. The formula isn’t hydrating or moisturising, but neither is it terribly drying on the lips. It doesn’t feather, doesn’t smear and stays intact without settling into lip lines.
Lip liner

It can be used as a lip liner to create an outline, as a primer base to increase the longevity of lipstick or to create a fuller lip effect. This lip crayon has been described as a mauve shade by Tarte Cosmetics. Personally, it looks more like a mauve-brown shade with a good opacity.
Packaging

The pigmentation of this lip crayon is rich and one swipe gives full color payoff. The shade doesn’t wash me out even without proper eye makeup. However, it looks more brown than mauve on my pigmented lips. Tarte Tarteist Lip Crayon in Latergram is suitable for fair, light and medium complexions. Since it isn’t a n*de shade, it can only be paired with brown and mauve lip colours, nevertheless can be used as a lip liner or a lip primer.
Swatch on hands

It doesn’t let you down in terms of longevity and stays on for more than 5 hours on average with regular fluid intake. It is dermatologically tested and free from harmful chemicals.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Tarte Latergram Tarteist Lip Crayon?
I recommend the product but not too sure about the shade because mauve and brown aren’t too flattering in my opinion and spending $22 for a brown or mauve shade isn’t a truly wise decision. I will pick up other shades from this range.
