Today I am going to review a nail file from the body shop. I will be honest and confess, the only reason I picked this was because it looked so cute. I miss London and this totally takes me back to my home 🙂

My experience with The Body Shop Cool Britannia Nail File:

This was a part of their “Cool Britannia” themed products in celebration of London Olympics. I remember buying a bag of this range, but I am not sure where it is now 😛  I am someone who cannot colour her nails. It is not that I don’t want to, but because of my course, I cannot. So I always like to put some transparent quotes just to make my nails appear a little better. I do have to take care of my nails a lot more because I got to make them naturally presentable. I also do not get to enjoy a manicure session much often as I hardly find time. If I can remember correctly, the last time I got a manicure was somewhere in February probably during my friend’s wedding as I was her bride’s maid 😛

I feel, nail filers are a very important tool in someone’s nail kit. I was using a nail file from lakme previously that I think I got from some random shop in Goa. It had pretty much worn off. This nail file has two sides. One side is pretty coarse which is very good to give your nails the desired shape. It can take care of the extra bits or bumps of nail very easily. The other printed side is finer. It works amazing while buffing the nails and making the edges smooth. It leaves your nails looking healthy and shiny.

I have used glass filers before but somehow I am not a big fan of them. The precision I get from this baby is remarkably better than the glass file. It is quite broad so doesn’t slip off and gives you a firm grip.

It is also literally weightless and yet really sturdy. It won’t bend even if you try hard. I have been carrying this around in my bag since I got this and pampering my nails when I am in the car or something. This gets the job done real quick and pretty decent for the price you pay. In addition it doesn’t make that irritating noise as the metal filers do while buffing or shaping the nails. Overall I feel that this product is reasonably priced even if there were no discounts. They come in this plastic cover, which is really good because you can throw it in your bag and don’t need to worry about it.

I won’t say that this is like an omg best nail filer out there or anything, but this definitely is a very decent one, which I think you must try. I am no nail expert but this definitely protects the upper table of nail plate and doesn’t damage them as much as some of the previous ones that I have tried.

1. A dual sided filer
2. Coarse as well as finer plates so you can shape your nails and buff them up.
3. Really sturdy and practically weightless
4. Comes with a plastic cover so it wont mess with other things in your bag.

Cons of The Body Shop Cool Britannia Nail File:

1. Only if they could provide a rubber grip sort of something to hold it, it would have been great. Now I hope it isn’t too much to ask eh, Body Shop? 😛
