Hiee IMBB Soul Sisters,
Hope you all are doing great!! Today, I have come with a body scrub from the latest range of The Body Shop the Vanilla Brulee Body Polish. Now I have been on the lookout for a good body scrub for a while now, especially after the disastrous torture I had with a particular European product. So let’s see if or not this body scrub from The Body Shop has been a good investment!
Price: INR 895 for 200ml
Buff away winter blues with the luxuriously creamy scent of Vanilla Brulee. This exfoliating body polish gently polishes away dead skin cells to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. Gently exfoliates Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth Seasonal Vanilla Brulee scent Top notes of Vanilla, Cocoa, and Lemon Base Notes of Creamy Custard and Fruit Cocktail Enriched with Community Fair Trade Honey. We source our Community Fair Trade honey from the UNESCO Sheka Forest Biosphere Reserve in the southern region of Ethiopia, where African bees distil the nectar of rainforest flowers to create a distinctive floral honey. To collect this precious honey, we work with the ‘bee whisperers’ of Beza Mar, a group dedicated to improving the livelihood of Ethiopian beekeeping communities and maintaining their traditional, natural way of working with bees.
Directions for use:
Apply to damp skin in a circular motion, then rinse thoroughly. Use two to three times a week.
My Experience with The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Body Polish:
TBS is one of the most loved bath and body brands in India and abroad. This brand needs absolutely no introduction. The theme of the brand” Beauty with a Heart” touches us and adds innumerable brownie points to the products. This Body polish comes in a sturdy tube so it’s hygienic and easy to use in shower. The body polish has a body washbase. This means this is one of the non-oil based scrubs and can double up as a body wash.
The scrub particles are quite fine and really gentle. It would be ideally suited for those with sensitive skin or those who do not like harsh sugar-based scrubs. I on the other hand was expecting some solid scrubbing action which this product did not provide unfortunately.
I feel it is an ever lighter scrub than the Palmolive scrub body washes. Actually similar to the thermal spa one! So I feel it’s more like a daily or alternate day use scrub. Definitely not weekend spa ritual material. Now coming to the fragrance, I would say that TBS has finally nailed the vanilla. It is a smooth custard-y vanilla fragrance with a hint of lime zest thrown into balance the sweetness. Absolutely gorgeous! So frankly, I would repurchase it as a body washe itself, rather than a body scrub; for its really awesome fragrance.
Pros of The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Body Polish:
• Made from Community Fair trade ingredients.
• Lovely Vanilla scent.
• Suitable for those with sensitive skin (and noses ;)).
• Soap based for those who despise the mess left behind by oil based body scrubs.
• Mild and does not irritate the skin.
Cons of The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Body Polish:
• Contains SLS.
• Not strong enough to be a sloughing body scrub.
Final Verdict on The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Body Polish:
It’s a really average product, which definitely did not work for me as a bodypolish to be frank. I would categorize this as a body wash with scrubbing action thrown in.If this suits your bill, I suggest you buy it. It has a lovely fragrance which will not disappoint any vanilla lover: D

nahhh too mild
This one is indeed a beautiful fragrance sone… I hav its handcream and the fragrance is just outstanding…. I like milder scrubs… This one seems good to me
Yeah, too mild to be a body scrub 🙁 but vanilla….aah!!
the packaging is pretty but body polish being too mild doesn’t really work for my skin 🙂
