My Experience with The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter:
To start with, I have dry skin which needs moisturizing in all seasons. I was always a body lotion person and have not been much into body butters. Though I check out the body butters every time I visit The Body Shop, I never picked one.
Last time when I visited the Body Shop, I saw this Coconut Body Butter and I found the smell interesting and thought I would give it a try. Thus, this is my first body butter from TBS.
When I say coconut smell, its not that natural coconut oil smell. Its kind of a synthetic coconut smell . Don’t worry, you won’t smell like a moving confectionery 🙂
Like other TBS body butters, this is a thick cream, but easy to spread both on dry/damp skin, but I prefer using it just out of bath and that makes it easy to get quickly absorbed into the skin.
It does not feel heavy on the skin nor does it feel sticky. Once I apply in the morning, I do not have to bother about moisturizing my skin again till next day morning.
The fragrance is not overwhelming as well. Its very mild and will be detected by people in your close proximity only. Whenever I use a body scrub, I prefer body butter to body lotion. I have used this in nights during summer months as well. It was not too heavy for summer too.
Let me list down the pros and cons of this product.
Pros of The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter:
- Mild coconut fragrance.
- Easy to spread.
- Gets absorbed easily into the skin.
- Keeps skin hydrated for the whole day.
- Does not feel heavy or sticky.
- Can be used during all seasons.
Cons of The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter:
- Not everyone likes their bath and body products to smell like coconut 🙂
- Need to use a spatula to get the product out of tub, it would be great if they can include one.
Final Word:
If you are lover of tropical fragrances, then try this at the TBS during your next visit. I am happy with my first body butter purchase. Will try some other fragrances once this is over.
