The Face Shop Shea Butter Real Nature Mask Review

Skin Type: Oily and Acne Prone

Today I am going to review the The Face Shop Shea Butter Real Nature Mask. I picked up two of these, one for my mom and one for myself. I have oily skin and her’s is dry. So let’s see how this mask worked for our skin.

Price: Rs. 100/- for 1 sheet

My Experience with The Face Shop Shea Butter Real Nature Mask:

The mask comes in a nice, matte, light blue colored plastic pouch that has shea butter printed on it. The packaging looks nice and all the details are printed on the packaging. The pouch contains only one sheet. The sheet is nicely folded inside the packaging.

This mask has a rich smell of shea butter, which is so amazing. I love this scent. As we all know, shea butter is the best moisturizing ingredient for dry skin. This sheet mask was fully dipped in a plain white moisturizing slippery gel that glided smoothly and felt very light on the skin. The moisturiser was sufficient for entire face. It was a big sized mask but it needed efforts to make this mask fit my face properly.

I kept this mask on my mom’s face for around 20-25 minutes and then I massaged the extra gel on her face for around 5 minutes. Then, she rinsed it off. The sheet was so full of moisturizer that it started to penetrate in her skin nicely after a few minutes and still the sheet felt creamy. It was easy to peel the mask off the face. After I removed the mask, her face looked so much smoother and softer. It looked deeply moisturized and shiny. I only applied a small amount of the gel on my face and it felt too oily and heavy for my oily skin, so I skipped this mask. But my mom’s dry face looked instantly softer and smoother. This mask hid all the dry patches and made my skin super soft. It also helped smoothen fine lines and made her skin look youthful. The mask felt very soothing on the face.

It never irritated her skin. This mask provided deep nourishment to the skin and repaired dry, dull skin texture. It provided a very beautiful, dewy and healthy glow to her skin. It removed all the dullness and made her skin very glowing. But this mask is meant for dry skin and not for oily skin. It provides so much extra moisture that it might end up clogging my pores.

The effect stays nicely for around 2 days; after that, you need to reapply the mask. This is a normal sheet mask and my mom has even used the second one. This mask does not contain parabens but it has alcohol, which is not great for sensitive skin. Overall, I didn’t like this mask and my mom’s super dry skin loved it.
