My Experience with The Face Shop the Solution Soothing Face Mask:
Mask comes in a white pouch with a light blue test tube printed over it. The pouch is hygienic and easy to carry around. All the details are nicely printed on the packaging but most of them are in Korean language, so I can’t read them all. The mask was nicely folded inside the packaging. This The Solution range has a similar scent; this one has a very fresh smell that is good for all.
The Solution range is a little different from the other sheet mask ranges by The Face Shop. This range has a silvery glossy plastic film inside the packaging. This film is of the same size as the sheet mask. The film helps to hold this fine mask easily. The brand described it as ‘Air Sheet’ and yes it is a very lightweight and semi-transparent white mask. It is also very thin – only 0.21 mm – and that’s why it feels super light on the skin. It is really good for oily skin, that feels so comfortable.
Mask contains some clear moisturizing solution, that glided smoothly and felt very light on the skin. I think the quantity was enough to cover up my whole face and still the gel was left inside the pouch. The size of the sheet mask was perfect for my oval face. It fits nicely and the gel easily got stuck to my face. The mask was even easy to remove. Overall, application process was quite smooth and easy, that I can use them anywhere.
I kept this mask for around 20-25 minutes on the face. Then, I massaged the gel on the face for around 5 minutes and rinsed it off. The sheet felt very nice on the face. It had a soothing effect that claimed down my skin. This mask provided a nice relief to my tried skin. I felt so fresh after using it. The sheet w
as so full of moisturizer, that it started to penetrate into my skin nicely after a few minutes. My face looked very smooth and soft after I removed the mask.
It provided a good hydration to my oily skin without making it oily. It never felt greasy. I always love such face masks. I am not sure how it will work on super dry skin but my on oily skin it helped to reduce dry rough texture with its soft touch. But the thing is that, effect of all the masks from this range is quite similar. I did not find any huge difference. This mask provides a fresh smooth hydrated skin. It also added a nice healthy glow to skin but it didn’t provide anything else on my skin.
Also, the effect does not last long; it stays for one day maximum and then goes away. It does not have any parabens but it does contain alcohol. Yet, it didn’t break me out. So, I do not think I need to use a chemical mask just to get a smooth fresh skin, at least not at home.
Overall, this is a good mask for oily skin. It acts as an instant useable mask, that makes skin soft and smooth with a very fresh glow. This is good for travel time.
