This is my first blog post ever, and I wanted it to start with IMBB. I’ve been reading articles on IMBB since I’ve started shopping cosmetics. Today, I am going to review Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Citrus Grapefruit and Red Lily Body Lotion. I got this as a present from my best friend who resides at Dubai, and I absolutely loved it. So, read on to know more.

My Experience with Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Citrus Grapefruit and Red Lily Body Lotion:
I’ve used few body mists from Victoria’s Secret before, and I have heard mixed reviews about them. So, when I got my hands on this beauty, well, to be honest, I did not have any expectations. Though it looked beautifully packaged in a mint green bottle with a golden cap, I wasn’t very sure of the scent or the staying power, but I was happy that I was wrong.
Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Citrus Grapefruit and Red Lily Body Lotion has exactly the same colour of the bottle; it is a mint green coloured lotion with a slight shimmer in it. But, it doesn’t look shimmery while applying the lotion on the skin, and it gets absorbed into your skin in no time and leaves a clean look. The lotion is nothing but heavy, and it smells of fresh mint. I feel like sniffing my skin over and over again because the fragrance is super refreshing. It’s neither too strong nor too mild but weighs perfectly in the middle. Even my brother, who is very particular of brands and scents, completely loved this scent. So, it would work as a unisex product as well.
The body lotion comes packaged in a good quality, mint green coloured plastic bottle with a golden cap. You need to press one end of the cap to pop up the opening on the other end. You can get even the tiniest amount through the opening, and hence, there is minimum wastage of the product. Also, I forgot to mention a pea-sized amount is sufficient for both the hands. And, if you look closely, you can clearly see how much lotion is left. It is really helpful for me as I end up getting a panic attack when I get the sudden realisation that it’s over. 😛
Now coming to the staying power, the lotion has a poor staying power 🙁 Though it moisturises my dry skin really well, the results hardly last for 2 hours. I applied my favourite The Body Shop lotion on one hand and this one on the other. The Body Shop Honeymania Nourishing Body Butter lasted for at least 6 hours straight, but I could not even get the faintest scent of this one.
Pros of Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Citrus Grapefruit and Red Lily Body Lotion:
- Attractive Packaging.
- Travel-friendly.
- Fresh mint smell.
- Worth the cost.
- Best-suited for summers and winters.
Cons of Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Citrus Grapefruit and Red Lily Body Lotion:
- Not easily available in India. I still couldn’t find it at any online shops 🙁 But, I guess they are available at some good duty-free shops here.
- Poor staying power; hardly stays for 2 hours.
