Mint Green and Royal Blue Winged Eyeliner Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hi Girls!

Today, I will be doing another eye make up tutorial for you all with two of my favorite colors – mint green and royal blue. Also, I will be using eye pencil for the extreme winged look instead of my usual liquid eyeliner as unfortunately it has expired and I am waiting for my gel eyeliners that I have ordered online to arrive. So, please pardon me if you do not find the wing neat this time.  Mint green is actually a very soothing color and I fell in love with it when I saw Rati wearing a dress of that color in one of her OOTDs.  Since then, I have been bugging my mum to make a similar dress for me, but sadly, she hasn’t been able to find a mint green fabric anywhere.  So, till I wait for my mint green dress, I will console myself with mint green eyeshadows! Read on to see how to achieve this look.

Products Used:
Makeup Products

1. VOV make up kit ( for the mint green and silver eyeshadow).

2. Garnier BB cream ( used as eye primer)
3. VOV eyebrow powder set ( pic not included).
4. Incolor eye shadow in # Bliss Blue.
5. A beige eye shadow from a random palette.
6. Maybelline hypercurl mascara.
7. Vega eyelash curler.
8. Vega eye shadow brush.
9. Smudger from Faces travel brush set.
10. A random eye pencil in black ( I got this beauty for just 20 bucks! Its smooth, intense black and long wearing).

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

Step 1:  Mositurize the area around your eyes very well before you apply primer. We don’t want flaky eyeshadow,do we? I have applied a good amount of BB cream as the mint eyeshadow needs a good base to show up.

3

Step 2:  Groom your eyebrows. For ones with naturally thick brows, use a clear mascara to hold them in place and those with thin eyebrows like mine, fill them up with dark brown eyeshadow.

Step 3:  Take a warm beige color and apply just below your brow bone. Blend properly with fingers if you wish to or with a brush.

4

Step 4:  Apply a mint green eye shadow all over the lid.

Step 5:  Using a blending brush, blend the harsh lines on the crease.

5

Step 6: Take some dark blue on a smudger and draw a “c” on the outer part of the upper lash line and extend to the crease.

Step 7:  Blend the blue lines with a brush too.

Step 8:  Take a creamy black eye pencil and draw a thick winged line on the upper lash line.

6

Step 9:  Use the same pencil to draw a thick line on the lower lashline as well, but extend it only till half of the lash line.

Step 10: Apply some silver eyeshadow on the remaining lash line.

Step 11:  Curl your lashes.

7

Step 12:  Apply mascara and you are done!

This is how it looks!

    1. thanks sahiba! 🙂 why don’t u try with a gel eyeliner? draw a small triangle at the outside edge of the upper eyelid and then try drawing the line inwards 🙂

  5. stunning 🙂
please tell me how do u apply eyeliner on lower lash line so perfectly.
i cant get it after so many tries 🙁

    1. i generally use pencils for lower lashline dear 🙂 and contrary to the popular belief, i use a bit blunt ones for the same as they give more depth and intensity compared to extremely sharp tips. for me, sharp tip pencils make the flaws even more prominent 🙁

  6. for me drawing an eyeliner is like drawing a line on a paper w/o a scale.. khikhikhi :p
loved the look as always 😉 :-*

    1. hahahhhaa! 😉 now that u mention it, i remember that i did use to practise drawing straight lines on paper w/o rulers in childhood u know? 🙂 i went all like top to bottom, side to side, diagonals etc 🙂 i guess that’s helping now 😀
