It’s summertime! And what better way to enjoy and have fun in the sun but to do outdoor activities: swimming, hiking, fishing, playing sports, even backyard parties and barbecue! Of course there’s always a catch: sunburns! And beauty and health-wise, this is a major concern. This is where the old age wisdom of “prevention is better than cure” comes into play.
There are lots of sun protections out there in the market, from sun block to sunscreen, sprays to lotions, from SPF 25 to SPF60. But they ultimately have one thing in common to offer: protect our precious skin from being badly burned, and let it be the least of our concern while we are out having fun with family and friends.
My Experience with Victoria’s Secret Sun Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Spray:
A good sun protection will always come in handy, and while picking out a sunscreen in a Victoria’s Secret store was not really my main purpose of going there; I was intrigued with this little bottle of goodness.
Victoria’s Secret Sun Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Spray promises skin protection against the sun’s harmful rays in a sexy and easy to apply way. The product also boasts a UV protection of SPF 25 against the sun’s harmful rays. Plus, the spray has a cooling effect which of course is very welcoming to anybody who has been under the sun for quite some time.
For starters, I like the packaging. It is light-weight and I love the ombre like color which reminds me of the different colors of sun’s rays at different times of the day. I cannot think of any other way to package a sunscreen in terms of coloring.
I also love how the sunscreen smells like. It reminds me of coconuts and baby oil, very tropical and outdoorsy. True enough, the spray sunscreen feels cool to the skin during application. I am not too fond of how heavy it feels on the skin, although after a while, it does not appear too shiny on the skin. But it definitely feels heavy even though it is not too obvious.
Victoria’s Secret Sun Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Spray is regularly priced at $15.00. I think that is too pricey for a sunscreen with only SPF 25.
What I Like About Victoria’s Secret Sun Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Spray:
• Cute packaging. It is also very light-weight.
• It has a very cooling effect when applied on the skin.
• A very tropical and mild scent.
• Offers protection of SPF 25.
What I Don’t Like About Victoria’s Secret Sun Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Spray:
• Feels heavy on the skin which contradicts the cool feeling.
• Expensive for a SPF 25 sunscreen of 4 oz.
• Since it comes in a spray can, it cannot be tossed in a carry-on bag for plane travels.
IMBB Rating: 3/5
Even though I am a fan of Victoria’s Secret products, I don’t think I will be a repeat buyer of this particular product. I would rather have something else with a higher sun protection factor and not too pricey. But if someone else will gift this to me, for sure I will accept this with open arms.

Awesome Faye, I would love to try this spray especially after reading your review 🙂
Thanks! Give it a try, it helps protect the skin.
I have never tried sunscreen in spray bottle form, but then SPF 25 isn’t enough for my skin and the weather here.
It is much easier to apply and more coverage. But you’re right. Personally, I also prefer a higher SPF.
