Lotus Herbals Daily Multi-Functional Sun Block SPF 70
Hello IMBB!!!

In spite of me not believing the hype of more the SPF, the better the sun protection, I was lured into buying the latest offering from Lotus Herbals, the “Lotus Herbals Daily Multi-Functional Sun Block SPF 70.”
Price:

Rs. 495 for 60 g (Rs. 346 on medplusbeauty.com).
Packaging:
Comes in a vibrant orange (standard Lotus colour) box with flip open plastic tube.
Product Description and Ingredients:
My Experience with Lotus Herbals Daily Multi-Functional Sun Block SPF 70:
Comparing it with Lotus Herbals Sun Block with SPF 40; smell, its mildly fragrant, quite an improvement over the medicinal smell of the 3-in-1 matte sunscreen.
Texture is neither runny nor thick, both are similar. The colour of SPF 70 is lighter than that of SPF 40 Lotus Sunscreen. Both the sunscreens take 20 seconds to blend.
Again coverage is similar, but SPF 70 feels slightly lighter on the skin and of course its pleasant fragrance is way better!!
Honestly speaking, I don’t spend a lot of time out in the sun because I tan very easily. Both SPF 40 and SPF 70 gave me the same kind of excellent sun protection for the time that I was out in the sun (20 minutes).
Pros of Lotus Herbals Daily Multi-Functional Sun Block SPF 70:
- Light moisturizer, oil free.
- Great fragrance, mild and pleasant. Even a sensitive nose like mine approved the smell.
- Did not break me out.
- Very good sun protection!! Prevents brown spots and tanning like any good sunscreen should.
- Preservative and paraben free.
- Has carrot and avocado extracts.
- Matte but not too matte (you know what I mean)!! When I use a good moisturizer below, it actually gives a beautiful dewy look.
- Sheer coverage, perfect for every day office look for beauties blessed with a good skin.
- Really lightweight, feels nice and cool on applying.
Cons of Lotus Herbals Daily Multi-Functional Sun Block SPF 70:
- Beauties with very dry skin will need extra moisturizer for the dewy look.
- SPF 40 is Rs/ 325 (Rs. 243 on medplusbeauty) for 100 gm and SPF 70 is Rs. 495 (Rs. 346 0n medplusbeauty) for 60 gm. For the difference of 170 and 40 g extra product, there is a very slight difference in product quality. The price difference is HUGE!!! I am having no issues with it, but I am sticking to the 3-in-1 matte for daily use and will use SPF 70 for occasions when I am out shopping, travelling, etc. If you keep aside the price, Lotus Herbals Daily Multi-Functional Sun Block with SPF 70 is a very good product!!Sun Safe -Lotus Herbals SunBlock Reviews – SPF 40, SPF 60

Thanx for the review Sneha, i have the spf 90 and was looking for this review? btw I read this particular one cast a whitish layer on some people..is it true.I didn’t have any such problem with the spf 90, and it actually blended well with my skin tone and yes it’s mattefying !
hey sukanya!!! read your article!!! gr8 review   .. and you are right about the SPF stuff!!! :haanji: :haanji: :haanji: SPF 50 is the best protection required by us… :specs: :specs: the spf 70 left absolutely no white cast on me.. blended like a dream on my skin.. its smoother and lighter than SPF 40 , both in colour and texture… suits fair to medium skin tones.. not sure about its performance on lovely dusky beauties :specs: :specs:
it left a whitecast on my skin…my complexion is medium..but hands are darker…so it looked whitish on me 🙁
Thanks for the detailed and comparative review neha. i quite liked their spf 40 version . I dont tink i need such high spf on daily basis but would pick this up when I am going on my next trip to goa. 😀 I hope that happens soon though. :chewnails:

Hi Mitali
I am currently using Lotus SPF 50 spray bottle, its lighter and get absorbed easily as compared to their SPF 30 sunscreen as i have purchased this bottle after reading its review on IMBB. but still i am more inclined for SPF 40 3in1 matte look as it gives a clean & fresh feeling
:high5:
lotus matte should win the best value for money award!!!! :teddy: :teddy: :teddy:
Hey sneha…good review..was waiting to try it…Thanks… :happydance:
do try!!! its so worth trying!!! bet be aware that 100g spf 40 costs 325 and 100g SPF 70 would have been Rs 825… difference of rs 500 :scream: :scream: :scream: its a gr8 product, but not THAT much gr8 to merit the sky high price!!!
had been waiting for a review on this. Thanks Sneha!
Im only concerned of the oiliness of sunscreens and worried about break outs! good that it didnt give yu any :yahoo:

as of now i am very happy with my lotus herbals spf 40 sunscreen :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I was waiting for a review of this product. 😀 Thanks, Sneha! :woot: :woot: I used 3-in-1 Matte sunblock but it broke me out. :yuck: :yuck: I am going to try this. I hope this will work for me considering it’s lighter. :preen:
:high5: :high5: :high5: JW, it broke me out too, i think we are allergic to the ingredients of it.. many ppl just love SPF 40, me jealous :green: :green: :green: :green:
but protection wise SPF 40 is the best
Yeah, perhaps it’s the ingredients which are causing the problem. :spank: :spank: :spank: Anyhoo, I hope the SPF 70 proves as good as the SPF 40 is supposed to be.
thats so sad coz its a really nice product!!try samples first!!! btw, you can also try the prescription sunblock ‘melagard 50’… its meant for sensitive skin :specs: :specs:
