Hope everyone is doing great and had a rocking Holi! I am back with the review of a very special product that always travels with me and is a must have for any party. It is called Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost and Lift Foaming Air Mousse and let’s see why and how it made its permanent place in my travel essentials list!

How to Use:

Hold the Foaming Air Mousse upright before pumping out a tennis ball sized amount into your palm. Then, evenly knead the mousse into your towel-dried hair. Blow-dry your hair or let it dry naturally. You can use the mousse to freshen up your style, applying a small amount into your already dry hair.

My Experience with Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost and Lift Foaming Air Mousse:

I have an oval face. My hair is naturally straight, so after wash and blow dry, my hair tends to fall more straight and flat. This makes my face look longer, which I do not really desire. I came across this product when I was struggling to get a product that could give my hair some volume and that much needed lift. I wanted the product to help me achieve more fuller look.

I even tried volumising shampoos, but even they could not please me for usually volumising shampoo end up making your hair dry, dull and devoid of any shine. As a salon, some senior stylist was spreading free gyan and I heard this product’s name. So, in my very next venture, I got this beauty in my hand!

First of all, it has a nice packaging. I have so far travelled with this product for at least ten times. The bottle comes with an easy to use pump dispenser that dispenses just the right amout of product, without encouraging any wastage. The cap is nice and tight.

Still as a word of caution: I always make sure to keep it away from clothes as I don’t trust any mousse/foaming products when I am flying (As I have had a very bad experience with my husband’s shaving foam that created a shocking snow like effect on my favorite pair of shoes and clothes because of the cabin pressure, I suppose!)

Now as a holding and volumising product, it does its job pretty well. It does not leave any oily residue as it is a water based mousse. I have used some other volumising products that makes your hair sticky, greasy and makes hair look somewhat unnatural. This product is very light, yet, does its work without making hair oily. It holds wonderfully as well. Once, I had used it to hold my hair-do and it was just perfect. It smells subtle and sweet, but doesn’t have any overpowering fragrance.

Pros of Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost and Lift Foaming Air Mousse:

• Not greasy and doesn’t create any residue.
• It holds hair-dos very nicely.
• Doesn’t make the hair look unnatural.
• Comes in a bottle with dispenser that minimises wastage.
• Bottle is sturdy and has never caused any disaster to me (till date, touch wood!).
• Smell is sweet and not overpowering one.
• Affordable.

Cons of Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost and Lift Foaming Air Mousse:

• Availability is an issue.
• May not suit very dry scalp/unruly hair as it a water based mousse.

Yes, for sure! But, I guess this bottle will last me forever.
