Labello Lip Care Chapstick in Pink Grapefruit

Labello Star Fruits Pink Grapefruit Lip Balm

Labello makes one of the “best” chapsticks that I’ve ever used.  I’ve been using Labello chapsticks for almost a decade now and they have never failed to disappoint me. Nivea and Labello Chapsticks have similar flavors and packaging too. Initially, I thought Nivea and Labello were trying to copy each other and were neck and neck in competition. It was only then that I realized that both of them are manufactured by the same German company called “Beiersdorf AG.”

Today, I’m going to review the “Pink Grapefruit” flavor from the Star Fruits range of Labello Lip Care Chapsticks.  Labello has a “Gloss Range” and this chapstick falls under that category. It’s not just a lip balm, but also a gloss! It adds moisture to the lips and heals chapped lips “amazingly” with an overall beautiful glossy finish.

This chapstick has worked wonders for me. I can’t remember the last time I had a serious dry/chapped lips problem after using this lip balm. As soon as I notice my lips getting dry, I apply this chapstick right away. Certain lip balms cause tiny pimples on the chin and around the lips for me because they’re super greasy and sticky or just don’t suit my skin. This chapstick doesn’t cause any breakouts on my skin.

Star Fruits

Pink Grapefruit has a real nice fruity taste and such a sweet-citrusy fragrance just like grapefruit! Love it. The chapstick stays on the lips for around 3 hours after which it needs to be reapplied. The only thing “con” here is that the shine/gloss tends to slip off after a few hours, but the chapstick still works its wonders even when the shine/gloss fades away. Once purchased, it lasts for months at a stretch depending upon your usage. In the photos, I’ve used the chapstick quite a bit, thus the weird lines and textures.

Overall, Labello is one of my all-time favorite chapsticks and if you haven’t used this yet, give it a shot and you won’t be disappointed! I can swear by these chapsticks! If you’ve tried the Nivea chapsticks, I guess you already know how awesome these chapsticks are. Labello is sold under the names: Labello Nivea, Liposan and Nivea Lip Care.

Price:

Approximately Rs. 190. Though the price differs online and from store-to store and I can’t remember the exact price.

Pros of Labello Star Fruits Pink Grapefruit Lip Balm:

  • Heals chapped lips from the very first application, results are visible on day one itself.
  • Amazing fragrance and taste.
  • Glossy; can be worn as a lip gloss.
  • Inexpensive for the quantity.
  • Decent staying power (3 hours).
  • Doesn’t cause any breakouts around the lip area and chin.

Cons of Labello Star Fruits Pink Grapefruit Lip Balm:

  • Shine/gloss fades away or more like “slips” away, not really a con, but I wish it stayed shiny for a bit longer.

IMBB Rating:

5/5

    1. Yes Jomol,….im really into face masks ,….and I usually stock up on them.I kinda like the MJ masks mainly because I can buy 1 sachet at a time and dont have to commit to using up the whole tube like other brands ,….having said that storing is a prob….. :nono:

    1. Hey Jo! Good morning!! :))

Nivea and Labello make almost the same chapsticks! I’m not too sure if its available at Apollo pharmacies; I haven’t tried yet! I usually buy them from back home.

    1. You could try Nivea chapsticks then, they’re available in India throughout the country!! 🙂

TBS strawberry lip balm is YUM! 😀

        1. Moisturisation, taste and fragrance are amazing. Its a bit glossy too. Staying power isn’t great tho, maybe 2-3 hours. It tends to slip off since its glossy.

      1. I too use labello – cherry and very much fond of it.. I like ‘soft rose’ too, a good base for pink lipsticks..

  3. It’s similat to nivea fruit and shine…but color is different…liked it hope some day i find in nearby store:-p

  4. Good that it has a lovely fragrance and taste 🙂
Grapefruits tend to be on the bitter side when it comes to taste..I love them though
