L’occitane Vert Green Tea and Jasmine Hand Cream Review

Claims : Enriched with shea butter, this cream moisturizes and delicately perfumes hands with the fresh and floral fragrance of Green Tea with Jasmine. The hand cream glides on and miraculously absorbs to help heal and protect dry or dehydrated skin. It makes the skin feel soft, supple and comfortable

Price : 995 for 75 ml/ 2.6 oz. I got a bag and a bottle of body lotion free with this cream.

Ingredients :

I was to pick my regular Shea Butter Hand Cream but then since I was getting two free gifts with this one so I picked it up. icon biggrin Loccitane Vert Green Tea and Jasmine Hand Cream Review

It is a gel cream like light weight hand cream. I really liked the ingredients list. It gets absorbed within seconds without leaving any single trace of greasiness or oiliness behind. It  is a decent hand cream for summers but for winters I am not finding it moisturizing enough. Even after this gets absorbed, I don’t find that it gives any relief to my dry hands. It makes my hands very very soft once it gets absorbed but the dryness does not settle down completely. If I wash my hands even with water,  my hands start feeling dry again.

It has a green tea like fragrance. Some may like it and some may not. But it is not over powering.

It comes in a tube and there is a twisty cap. I find it a little uncomfortable because I would ideally want the opening of tube to have an outer cover. With the twisty cap, you always have to be careful that it is clean at all times. Otherwise teeny bit of cream would be sticking around the mouth of the cap and would gather dust or just rot.

I’d finish this tube and would not repurchase it. It doesn’t do the basic job of providing enough moisture to hands. I don’t see a reason to repurchase it.

twisty cap matlab??? and I guess for hand the body butters are only good … the Bath and body ones are also not enough for the hands :(

Reply

Rati November 8, 2011 at 12:30 pm

like the cap twists and then the product comes up then you twist it backa nd the opening closes… like it does not have a cover as such. i know i’d get down to using those only. :( (

Prettttttty nice. for 150 bucks it works quite well. bought it recently along with a bunch of other stuff like MAC prep+prime powder, fabindia tea tree face wash, Forest Essentials (FE) face mist and FE narangi ubtan. (just wanted to show off my mini haul so made full use of this post) :stars: :stars:

yeah you mentioned that you love jasmine fragrances. :) ) This does not have a distinct jsamine fragrance, more of a green tea one. :)

shai November 8, 2011 at 10:18 am

I like most green tea products… I have a green tea based body butter from h20 that i quite like and use on my hands. Am loving the l’occitane reviews, am not familiar with the brand at all otherwise.
