L’Occitane Shea Butter One Minute Hand Scrub

L’Occitane Shea Butter One Minute Hand Scrub

I purchased this product after the sales assistant made a demo for me. This product made my hand softer and smoother instantly and so I had to buy this.

L'Occitane Shea Butter One Minute Hand Scrub

My hands become dry in winter.  I have a few different hand creams, but I’m not consistent in applying them, especially at night.  So, my hands had become a concern for me recently. I was not looking for a hand scrub as such, but I just bought this product after the demo.

Product Description:
The One Minute Hand Scrub has been specially formulated to reveal incredibly soft hands in only one minute. Organic sugars and shea oil work together to gently exfoliate dry hands and cuticles.  Its bi-phase formula contains exfoliating organic sugar to gently Scrub and eliminate dead skin cells and shea, sweet almond and grape seed oils to help soften and nourish hands. Pair with Shea butter hand Cream.

This product has a grainy scrub-like consistency.

What is a Bi-Phase formula?
Having two distinct phases. In this case a solid and liquid form put together.

Directions For Use:
Mix the formula with the spatula. Apply to dry hands and massage gently focusing on the cuticles.

Price:
AUD 29.95 (Approx INR 1617) for 100 ml.

My Experience with L’Occitane Shea Butter One Minute Hand Scrub:

I have been using this product every day for two weeks now. This product seems to contain sugar grains and thus has a grainy texture.  However, the oily part is made of shea butter and it adds nourishment.  So, the grainy texture exfoliates, but the oil gives back moisture to hands.  When applied to dry hands and massaged for one minute (as directed) and then washed off, you can feel the difference in one single use (that’s how I got hooked on to this product –at the demonstration in store).

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Scrub

Hands are moisturised so well that you don’t need to moisturize them afterwards.  However, I use shea butter hand cream after using this scrub. I feel the hand cream really sinks in well if used after this hand scrub.  I also use this on my elbows. The fragrance is delicious. This is the first hand scrub I have ever purchased.  I personally think, given the price, why not leave it on for five minutes and let the shea butter sink into your skin? When I do that, I feel my hands are even more softer.

The fragrance, the label and maybe the price makes you feel like you have been to the nail spa. I got gel nails done last month and removed them after three weeks. As my nail bed is very thin now (since it was filed prior to applying gel nails), I won’t be going in for manicures for now.  Meanwile, I’m using tis scrub as my own little treat. :manicure:

Pros of L’Occitane Shea Butter One Minute Hand Scrub:

  • Does what it claims.
  • Does not contain harmful chemicals.
  • Contains shea butter and has a divine fragrance/
  • Moisturises as well as exfoliates, a two-in-one product.

Cons of L’Occitane Shea Butter One Minute Hand Scrub:

  • Very pricey for a hand scrub.
  • Not a must-have item in everyone’s beauty bag, powdered oats mixed with olive oil and honey works in an almost similar way.

My Verdict on L’Occitane Shea Butter One Minute Hand Scrub:

It is worth the price if you can afford it, especially if you do DIY manicures at home.

Will I Buy L’Occitane Shea Butter One Minute Hand Scrub?

I will buy this again unless I find an effective yet cheaper product. L’Occitane regularly discontinues products.  Even though this product is available now, there is a possibility that any L’Occitane product that we fall in love with might get discontinued. I don’t understand why they have to discontinue products on a regular basis.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5.  I have deducted 0.5 for the price.

  4. I am actually very confoosed today Kimi…..yesterday, my husband asked what I wanted coz he will get me that, and for the first time, I had no answer as to what I wanted, I said, Fisher Price ka doodle pro for Aarohan, 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐

    1. hainnn!!! How come you had nothing to ask???          What about your golddd Jhumkaaaaaaas and L’occitane, Chanel, Dior ka grocery shopping? :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

  5. oh…I forgot..           …thank you for yaad dilaaying…..I went completely blank…..really….I had no answer…..the only thing I could think of was this Doodle Pro I saw on Pogo TV….       thankoooooooooooo so much…. :teddy: :teddy: :teddy: :teddy: :teddy: :teddy:

      1. Know what Jomol..I am reading the “History of Physics” right now!!! 😛 😛 😛 Its soo interesting…I still read physics books..Its always been my favvvvvv subject..I wanted to do PhD in theoretical quantum physics and then become a professor… and I hatedddddddddddd Chemistry….sabse sadiyal subject..hate hate hateeeeeeee it..just the thought of it gives me jitters!! 😐 :tremble: and I am allergic to benzene ring!! 😐

        1. Kimi…..I loved physics, the practicals more than theory. I could do the Newton’s thermometer experiment so well and the magnetic experiments also, he he….I liked chemistry too….the extraction of salts and all…….. :woot: :woot: :woot: actually, I enjoyed doing practicals of microbiology, physics, chemistry, had a problem with theory though :nababana: :nababana: :nababana: :nababana: :nababana: :nababana: :nababana: :nababana: :nababana:

          1. Kimi…you also have done the pendulum wala experiment na…..ding dong pendulum :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1:

          2. practicals toh mujhe bhi sab ke pasand they Jomol..but Organic chemistry was a nightmare to me..Inorganic I liked..especially about the extraction of acids and alkalies from salts.. 😀

            but organic was horrrrrrrrrribleeeeee… :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :((

Physics practicals mein I usually loved to do the galvanometer experiments, especially Ballistic galvanometer ones!! 😀

            1. He he, I know, so many times, my hands got burnt and you know I am so allergic to the chemical smells of concentrated sulphuric acid and other acids that every alternate day I would end up with a headache, but it was very fun, I used to love them :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1:

            2. Ballistic galvanometer I haven’t done……     most of the experiments were prism, newton’s, gravity, pendulum types 😐 😐 😐 😐

                1. Wowww Mamta..awesomeeeeeee :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: … I so much wanted to do that……but, I got stuck in all this programming languages… I dont even know why I studied all those other languages and concepts in software both in bachelors and masters..we never use any of those things in work here!!! 😐
And you can find all sorts of engineers here in software industry…civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics..I wonder why did they study those stuffs if they had to come to softwares only!! 😐 😐

                    1. pataa nahi yaar..I somehow never liked software industry or even the work here….I never wanted to become software engineer..but just coz mom dad wanted me to study..I continued doing that…It was a few years back only when I revolted to everything and promised myself to just follow what I want to do..my dreams and passion..the result..I became the mangal pandey of my family, when it came to the love of my life..and now again after more than 8 years of working in softwares, when I am quitting this software job…people are trying to scare me!! 😐

            3. Hey Kimi, Only practical that I never liked was titrationnnnnnnnnnnnn :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: use to frustate me so much :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

              1. hee hee..titration….lol…I liked that weird glass pipe..actually I liked all the beakers, flasks, and cute looking funnels there..I remember I once spilled boiling aqua regia on the rubber tube…and it melted into nothing…my mam was more concerned about me….and I was scared …I burnt a hole on my white skirt too!! :((

                1. hole in skirt… :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: But thats true…all the things used for it were really sooooooooooo cute :high5: :high5: :high5: :high5:

                2. OH MY God Kimi….same experience….I had bought this new Levi’s Jeans….and I wore to the college and that day I had chemistry practicals……you know….we were doing some acids and salt extraction, and something fell on to my jeans and the colour faded a little…….I just rubbed some water on it and it started to tear…..I was scared to death………I left it like that….and when I washed it later….there was a huge hole in the jeans…near the upper knee…I could never wear it again 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 ….I cut it and made it into shorts

                  1. hee hee..you could have worn it na Jomol..torn jeans are always in fashion!!

                    1. I still get scared TA…just that I’ve now learnt to keep my fears at bay and drink mountain dew!! 😀 😀 Kyunki darr ke aage jeet hai!! 😛
