Hope you all are doing well and enjoying the monsoons. Today, I thought of taking a break from my usual lipsticks and reviewing a lip tint. So, the product that I’m going to talk to you all about is the Max Factor Lipfinity Lasting Lip Tint in the shade 03. These are available in 10 shades and two of them are already reviewed on the blog. So let’s see how this one behaved..

My Experience with Max Factor 03 Pink Princess Lipfinity Lasting Lip Tint:
This tint comes in a marker pen kind of packaging and it can easily be mistaken by the men and children to be a piece of stationary. :p Well jokes apart, I really enjoy the packaging as it is very handy and it’s fun to have the feeling of colouring the lips with a sketch/marker pen. The applicator also resembles marker pens and it helps in lining and colouring the lips. Sorry my packaging has withered off a bit because one day out of some inexplicable curiosity I tried to rip off the sticker that hugged the pen and held the details like the name of the product, place of manufacturing, etc.

The shade 03 was however a misleading one for me. I love reds and I was on the lookout for a nice red tint for daily wear but the SA convinced me to believe that this berry pink tint is a red one. It was only after I came home that I realised that I had bought a dark pink one. Nevertheless, I gave it a shot and I was in for a surprise when I realised that this tint sort of darkens over time post application and that helped me to achieve the berry red shade that I longed for. The tint gives the lips a just-eaten- berries sort of a look which I totally love sporting for daily wear.
The texture of the tint is quite similar to the other tints available in the market. It’s matte, light and non- sticky. Girls with dry lips wouldn’t like it much as it doesn’t do anything for the lips and rather, highlights the dry areas. For dry lips prior prepping with a lip balm is a must. Apply the balm and do the rest of your make up. Later, remove the excess balm with a tissue and apply the tint. You could also top the lips with a clear gloss post applying the tint to protect the lips from dryness.
In terms of pigmentation I would say that it gives very little coverage to the lips as it’s supposed to be a tint. I have slightly pigmented lips and I need 4-5 full swipes to build up the colour and achieve some coverage. Thus, I don’t see girls with pigmented lips reaching out for this one a lot as it would hardly show up and offer any coverage.
The staying power of these tints is something that I enjoy the most. It stays on my lips for some good 5-6 hours and survives light snacks quite efficiently. It fades off remarkably post an oily meal but leaves behind a light rosy stain. To completely remove the colour from the lips an oil based remover is a must. It doesn’t transfer at all and has a fruity fragrance and a slightly sweet taste which I love.
Summing up the pros and cons,

Cons of Max Factor 03 Pink Princess Lipfinity Lasting Lip Tint:
• Could be a little drying on the lips.
• Doesn’t give much coverage.

Final Verdict:
Overall, I totally love this product as I’m a fan of tints. Lipsticks are at times heavy and monotonous and lip glosses can be a bit sticky. In such instances a tint comes to the rescue. I recommend this product to girls who do not have dry lips and I would look for a dark red shade the next time.

I have seen them online many times, but the applicator kinda intimidate me as it looks like a permanent marker. 😛 Love the shade, but seems drying.
Haan Shikha it is quite drying but love the shade so much that I’m ready to overlook that aspect 🙂
I too like lip tints a lot Ankita, for the same reason! But as you said, it will accentuate dryness so, it’s a skip for me 😀
Hmm dryness is indeed an issue but maybe you could use a clear balm on top to combat that 🙂
