Oriflame Coconut and Ricemilk Nourishing Hot Oil Review

oriflame coconut ricemilk nourishing hot oil
Hello beauties, hope you all doing great. Today I am going to review one of my favorite hair products from Oriflame. Why it’s my favorite you shall know soon! The product is from their very famous range of hair care- Coconut and Ricemilk. I have used the whole range from shampoo, conditioner to hair mask. But the most favorite for me turned out to be this nourishing oil.

Quantity:- 0.5 fl.oz/15 ml
Price:- MRP INR 59/- (INR 49/- on offer)
Usage:- Place unopened tube in hot water for 1 minute. Massage contents of tube into wet hair for 1 minute. Rinse well and shampoo as usual.
Ingredients:- Coconut and Ricemilk as key ingredients (that’s all I could get from the pack)
Preferable for:- Dry hair
Packaging:- Small plastic tube (about just 4 inches) with a crown shape plastic fixture which has to be broken for using. It’s just one time use tube and once broken you cannot have the lid on the tube again.

My take

The consistency of the product is like coconut oil when u see it in the tube. It feels sticky initially if you rub it between your fingers. But I don’t know how the consistency changes immediately while applying into water like and believe me the stickiness vanishes completely. My hair nature is very dry because of the damage caused by using hot rollers and iron. So what I do is I use this once a week and my hair gets appropriate nourishment and shine is restored. I also use ayurvedic oil whenever I shampoo my hair during the week. But weekly treatment with this hot oil is must for me. Also the oil is very effective because of the initial heating of the oil. This increases the penetrative power of the oil into hair roots. I massage it for about 2 mins and don’t rinse it immediately. I wait for about 10 mins and then rinse it. It really makes my hair softer and shinier. They become manageable and also less frizzy. So I know it’s working on my hair.
Talking about the fragrance it smells just ditto like coconut oil.

Swatch of the product:

You can see the product is very viscous just like any other oil.

But when you spread the consistency becomes like water. Very non-sticky. 🙂 I guess it’s the ricemilk which makes it such.

Pros of Oriflame Coconut and Ricemilk Nourishing Hot Oil

• Gives great result for dry hair. Nourishes effectively.
• Requires lesser time for the effect to be seen. I don’t have to wait an hour or overnight for it to show effects.
• Non-sticky. I hate stickiness but then I never trust non-sticky oils for nourishment. But this was completely different and changed my opinion.
• Gives double benefit of nourishing as it needs to be heated up by putting the unopened tube in hot water. (I hate to heat up my coconut oil separately and wait till it cools down a bit and then clean the bowl…find it too messy.
• I like coconut fragrance. (might be a con for others)

Cons of Oriflame Coconut and Ricemilk Nourishing Hot Oil

• Price is a little on the higher side. The quantity is less for the price. But I use it just as weekly treatment. And I feel for medium length hair this tube can be used by 2 people. But yes the packaging is of one time use so you can’t even store. Have to use it immediately. 🙁
• Available through only Oriflame consultants.

My rating: :* :* :* :* (-1 for the price and availability)

Will I repurchase? YES. I am going to use this every week till my damaged hair comes to a better state. 😛
