Parachute Advansed Ayurvedic Hot Oil Review

PARACHUTE ADVANSED AYURVEDIC HOT OIL REVIEW

I saw an ad claiming winter is the season of extras, extra warmth, extra ghee on paranthas and extra hugs and some extra care for our hair. Even though I usually warm my oil before applying it on my hair, I just couldn’t stop myself from trying this. I just wanted to see how this hot oil thing works and how it is warm by itself. And I thought if it works it saves the whole effort of warming the oil. Anyway, cutting the rant short, I am in a two minds about it.

What the company says – Parachute Advansed Ayurvedic hot oil is a coconut oil enriched with ayurvedic warming oils of ‘Malakangani’ and ‘Piper Nigrum’

Directions for use – 1.Pour oil onto your palm, rub your palms together to feel the warmth come through.
2. Gently massage onto hair and scalp. The warmth opens up the pores and the oil soaks in, providing deep nourishment.
3. Wash off to get beautiful, lustrous hair.

Price – Rs. 35/- for a 90ml bottle. Other sizes are also available.

Umm… writing about Parachute Advansed Ayurvedic Hot Oil is going to be tough because I can’t make up my mind on this one. It claims to be hot oil, when there’s nothing ‘HOT’ about it. But then, when all other hair oils solidified in winters this one was perfect, causing me to believe that this has some warm thing added. But what??? I can feel/smell nothing expect for a very fake plastic herbal smell. I rubbed my palms together and whatever warmth was felt that was because of the friction and not because of the oil. But this hasn’t damaged my hair or done any sort of harm. To me, this is a lighter parachute with a new packaging and some fragrance which I really can’t describe. It is a very posh bad hair oil smell, I really can’t describe. 😛

It is almost clear oil, not very sticky and it gets absorbed quickly also. I don’t think there is any harm in this. You might just try to see how it works. Do not expect it do anything for hair. As I said, it is a heavily fragranced, newly packed light coconut oil.

Coming to the pros and cons-

Pros of Parachute Advansed Ayurvedic Hot Oil

1. It didn’t cause any hair fall or any damage to my hair. It basically gets a lot of points here, because if it doesn’t live up to claims, it doesn’t harm either. Some extra hair fall in winters that’s all I don’t need.
2. Doesn’t solidify in winters, unlike other oils, which makes it easy to use from the bottle.
3. Leaves hair soft and shiny.(like any normal hair oil)

Cons of Parachute Advansed Ayurvedic Hot Oil

1. It doesn’t live up to its claims, no warming effect felt. So it’s just trying to fool us into buying it by giving all champi claims .
2. THE SMELL!! I am not very uncomfortable with it but know quite a lot of people who hate the smell, it smells like some cheap oil, like fake herbal smell.
3. The packaging is bad; oil tends to seep out from the neck of the bottle, making a real mess if it ever stays horizontally put on the dresser, but then again, it might be just that one piece I bought.

Try it if you want to but please don’t get fooled by a blissful Anuskha Sharma, massaging away with her ‘Champi Kit’ to beautiful curly hair. It’s not at all what it claims to be.
Would I repurchase?? – You really want to know?
Rating – 2.5/5 (2 marks for not causing any hair fall, am still using it just to finish it up (yeah! I have pledged not to waste stuff, if it’s not harmful) and 0.5 for not freezing.

  1. even i also used to wonder the same that how is it warm :-/ .
thanks Naina for reviewing…i was just bout to purchase it out of curosity O:) ……….. :thanks: :thanks:

  2. I’ve used this oil too & I agree with your review Naina. It smells really strong & gives me a headache. The first time that I use it, I did feel some ‘warming effect’ on my scalp; more than the normal amount after a champi. But I’ve never felt it since then. In my opinion, it’s just a strong smelling oil.

  3. actually I think by HOT it means it doesnt cause the thandak that coconut oil does. In winters if you put coconut it cools your scalp and causes a cold but this oils has Heat not the Celsius kind but the kind that comes from putting menthol on your skin. I find this is a pretty great option for the winters- The champi kit never works and im not a HUGE fan of the smell but all in all come winter – this warms my scalp so I think its worth a try …

    1. hmmm.. i kinda agree with what u say but its doesnt warm naa.. like its better no if u heat almond / olive /plain old coconut oil n apply … i duuno, somehow it didnt do anything for me ?:) ?:) ?:) ?:)

  4. too bad this oil does not suit u… i’m using this oil for quite sometime before it even hit adds it was in the market..my sis bought this and it has done wonders to her hair… and the warmness..1st it does not solidify as normal coconut oil in normal winters and its first few bottles used to feel warm in hands and scalp both… :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: …… but they are reducing the quality i think :spank: :spank:

      1. believe me when i say first few bottles really feel warm in hand and at scalp..in hand i had tested it with plain coconut oil about its heat

  5. thanks for the review, i alwys used to pick it, and then keep it back, thinking how can oil be warm by itself, it must be some silly marketting gimmick…… :victory:

  6. Hi every1.. Can anyone tell me how many months prior to my D’day should i go 2 parlour 4 pre-bridal service. Thank u 🙂

    1. I just read it somewhere.. 3 months is what the parlours prefer so that if something doesn’t suit you , you’d get time to revert it.. btw it also depends on the condition of your skin and hair.

  10. Rati is out shopping…she bought some “lakdi ki jewellllreee” and “new sunglasses for summer”..cos apparently the old ones were the sunglasses for winter…and now she is shopping for a white kurta/kurti somewhere :cat: :cat2:

Anyway show your necklace!! 😀 😀 And whats with all this wandering like a ghost in mall?????? 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 ..You didn’t buy anything?

        1. cali it’s very weird bt I kida buy tons of lingerie in one go and then don’t buy for months at a go. 😐 😐 It’s like I change the entire lingerie wardrobe every 6-7 months. khikhikhi 😛

I bought chut put… was mainly scouting. :yelo: :yelo: :yelo:

  12. Even I purchased this oil but only because it came with a free head massager. Though that is again useless, my son loves playing with it 🙂

And, you are right, the oil doesn’t feel warm at all when you rub it in your hands. It’s just the friction that causes the warmth.

  13. Parachute hot oil is v good for scalp Its very effective for dandruff hair m so happy Paracute has come up with hot oil film actress Kajol wil vouch for this product but m not able to get it in any shops in Navi Mumbai.

  14. Thank you for the review! Have you every tried Parachute Advanced Ayurvedic Hair Oil? Or know wheather it is worth trying out? I am curious a bout it!
