Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Triphla Shampoo Review

Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Triphla Shampoo Review

An oily scalp can be really troublesome and frankly speaking, I can go to any extent to keep my scalp free from oil and dirt sticking along. I was thus looking for a shampoo specially meant for oily hair and scalp; it was in this way that I came across Blossom Kochhar’s Aroma Magic Triphla Shampoo a couple of years back and decided to buy it after I was satisfied when I read what the product claims.

Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Triphla Shampoo Review

Recently, I have again invested in a bottle of the same and today I am going to review this product since I have been using this product for quite sometime now.

Price:  Rs 115 for 220 ml

Shelf Life:  The shampoo is best when used before two years from the date of manufacture.

What Does The Shampoo Claim?

This gentle shampoo deep cleanses, moisturizes and conditions hair without upsetting the pH balance of the scalp. It enables hair cuticle and scalp to breathe easily. It also adds volume, body, and shine.

Directions To Use:

Second

Apply to wet hair and scalp, work up lather; then rinse off.

Active Ingredients:

Third

Extracts of Triphla, Amla, Shikakai, Fenugreek, Indian Gooseberry and pure essential oils of Rosemary, Cedarwood, Lemon and Green Apple.

What I Feel About The Product:

Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Triphla Shampoo is one of those few shampoos that have helped me to get a clean scalp even after 24 hours of application! Normally, my scalp starts feeling greasy and my hair limp within six or seven hours after I apply shampoo; however, with this particular product, my experience has been different. My hair does not feel flaccid and the scalp seems squeaky clean once I use this shampoo. I use it every alternate day and trust me, it keeps my scalp (and me too) happy! The shampoo lathers well. I love the transparent light green color of the shampoo and the smell is so fresh. It comes in an almost opaque white-colored bottle with a red cap.

Fourth

Difference Between the Old and the New Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Triphla Shampoo:

When I bought the shampoo almost two to three years back, it was priced at Rs. 95. Recently, I purchased it a few months back and I found that the price has been increased to Rs. 115. Previously, the shampoo used to come in a different kind of bottle; it was a translucent bottle with a black cap. The new container is almost opaque, is white in color and has a red cap. The ingredient list used to be a bit different as well. Other components remaining same, on the ‘active ingredients’ list, there used to be pure essential oils of Basil and Lavender instead of Cedarwood and Green Apple. Moreover, the shampoo was meant for ‘normal to oily hair’ while the new packaging says that it provides ‘deep cleaning’ for ‘oily hair.’

My Personal Take on the Differences:

I have personally experienced no difference from the user’s point of view. The color, smell, look and feel of the shampoo is still the same though there is a glaring dissimilarity as far as the container is concerned.

What I Like About Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Triphla Shampoo (Pros):

• The ingredient list is so attractive; there is mention of various herbal extracts, natural ingredients and pure essential oils.
• The consistency of the shampoo is perfect; it is neither very thick nor runny.
• It does away with excess oil on the scalp. It also adds volume and body to the hair. Herein, it meets the claims it makes.
• I like the transparent green color as well as the clean smell.
• The product is not very expensive; it is quite affordable at Rs 115 for 220 ml.
• The packaging is good.
• The cap of the bottle is very tight and thus, it is quite travel-friendly.

What I Do Not Like About Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Triphla Shampoo (Cons):

• The complete list of ingredients is absent; only the list of active ingredients has been provided.
• Unlike the older version of the shampoo, the new bottle is almost opaque and one has to strain her eyes to find out how much has been used up or still left in the container.
• The shampoo may not be suitable for cold and dry winters as it might make the scalp very dry.

Will I Repurchase It?

Yes; I will repurchase it for sure.

  1. yeah somreeta the packaging has changed., i used to like the old packaging more though. have never used shampoos from AM. This does sound pretty nice. :waytogo: :waytogo:

    1. Actually, the shampoo is nice for oily scalp!! indeed very nice! 🙂 Ya, the packaging has undergone a huge change!

  2. Hi,

I am using the old version of the shampoo..

I agree with your pros, and also its makes my hair soft..

But the only negative part is.. The next day my scalp is itching very badly.. 😕

      1. Actually, i didnt have this itiching problem before, however my hair was frizzy.. this problem was solved by this shampoo, but got the new problem..

Otherwise i love this shampoo.. Sure it be a very good shampoo for more oilier scalp

  3. I bought this same shampoo , in the old packaging as you mentioned. There wasnt any new packaging available. I quite agree with your thoughts on the nice pleasnat fragrance and the colour of the shampoo. Its affordable and the consistency is perfect!
I cant comment about winters but till now the shampoo has controlled the slight frizz that my hair developed owing to the harsh sun and pollution. I use a hot towel treatment post oiling and then wash it off with Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Triphla Herbal Shampoo. 🙂

  4. I bought this shampoo about a month back…I have extremely oily scalp…this shampoo totally strips my scalp of oil, which I guess is good, but it also makes my hair terribly dry…despite oiling my hair before the shower, my hair becomes as dry as scorched grass….guess I have to change my mild Oriflame conditioner & go for a creamy conditioner to make my hair softer. 🙁

  5. Just bought this today and it s priced at rs 255 for 220 ml. Darn expensive. Will post the exp once Ouse it a fe times
