W7 In The Buff Natural Nude Eye Color Palette Review

Hola Beautiful IMBBians!

Whenever I visit Sephora or Ulta, I lustfully eye Urban Decay Naked Palettes but my current pay check does not allow me to buy them but rather just indulge in window shopping. However, for one-seventh of the price I have found a perfect dupe for naked eye palettes.

W7 cosmetic brand is an UK brand and it makes these amazing replicas of naked eye palettes. So far, I have found dupes for all the 3 generations of Urban Decay Palettes. The product in this post is the dupe of Naked 2 palette.

W7 In The Buff Natural Nude Eye Color Palette

Product Description:
W7 In The Buff Natural Nude Eye Color Palette contains 12 eye shadows: Buff, Camel, Sand, Dust, Chocolate, Topaz, Earth, Storm, Silk, Wave, Thunder and Onyx. It comes complete with double ended brush.

Packaging:
It has metal packaging just like Urban Decay Palettes but not as sturdy. Nevertheless, I still like the metal case. This metal case holds a black plastic case which holds the eye shadow in their designated slots. It would have been better, if there was an in-built mirror but alas! no such luck. It also comes with a brush that has bristles on one end and sponge on another.

Wear time:
It stays 8 to 10 hours and more if used with a primer.

My Take On W7 In The Buff Natural Nude Eye Color Palette:

In my previous posts, I have mentioned that I am not a big fan of mono eye shadows because they are too much of a fuss and occupy a lot of space. So, I either depot them or just buy a palette of the same amount. When I saw W7 In The Buff Natural Nude Eye Color Palette, I bought it because of the pretty nude shades and also because all the bloggers rave about it as to how it is a dupe of Naked 2 Palette.

Shades in the palette:
Buff:
It is yellow-toned, matte highlighter. It does not show up at all because it is not pigmented enough and is a little chalky. I did not like it much since it hardly shows up on my skin.
Camel:
It is a shimmery golden shade. This one looks a lot like ‘Half Baked’ from the Naked Palette, although the pigmentation is not as great.
Sand:
It is just like the first shade except, it is pink-toned instead of yellow. I do not like this type of colour, but some others might.
Dust:
It is a shimmery copper shade and the kind, I love the most.
Chocolate:
It is a matte taupe, somewhere in between brown and purple. I apply it in my crease to add depth.
Topaz:
It is dark brown with less shimmers than Camel and Dust, but more shimmery than Sand.
Earth:
It is a medium brown eye shadow with a satin finish. It looks a bit like the grown-up version of Camel.
Storm:
It is a Khaki green color which looks very flattering on my skin tone.
Silk:
It is a metallic pearly shade, just like the third shade but with golden shimmer. I only use these kinds of eye shadows to highlight my inner eye corners.
Wave:
It is a shimmery brown/pink shade. It looks a bit like Dust, but it has more of a pink/purple undertone which makes it less warm.
Thunder:
It is dark brown with satin finish and has a strong purple undertone. It can be used for brown smokey eyes.
Onyx:
It is a matte black shade.
