Boots Extracts Almond Lip Balm Review

Boots pharmacy is my go-to store here in the UAE for my skin care products. I have tried a lot of brands that they hold – Soap and Glory, Ted Baker, Botanics, No 7 and their own Boots labeled products. I have very dry and chapped lips and hence, I wanted something for intense moisturization.

Paraffin, Hydogenated microcrystalline wax, Paraffinumliquidum (Mineral oil), Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Butyrospermumparkii (Shea Butter), Cera alba (Beeswax), Vitisvinifera (Grape) seed oil, Prunusamygdalusdulcis (Sweet almond) oil, Tocopheryl acetate, Parfum (Fragrance), Alpha-isomethyl ionone, Linalool).

My Experience with Boots Extracts Almond Lip Balm:

I keep trying different lip balms in my search to buy my perfect match. I picked up the Boots Almond Lip Balm with an intention to intensively moisturize my lips as the product claims.

The lip balm comes in a small round glass tub. The lavender color plastic lid over the glass tub makes it look pretty. The lid closes tight and the packaging feels sturdy. The product feels compact and light, making it travel-friendly.

The texture of the lip balm is usual, comparable to Vaseline but less sticky. It is not a tinted lip balm hence colorless. The balm glides effortlessly on the lips. One swipe gives a sheer layer but multiple swipes build a thicker layer on the lips. The issue with all lip balms which come in a tub is that you need the fingers to apply it. This can get a little unhygienic and messy.

The lip balm feels moisturizing on the lips and very comfortable to wear. When you apply the lip balm, it gives a nice healthy look to the lips. The lip balm has no shimmer and no color. It can be worn standalone or on top of a lipstick since it has a light texture and feel.

It stays put for just about 2 to 3 hours after which it needs a re-application. I did not feel intense moisturization on my lips in spite of using it several times a day. At this price, there are other products in the market which give better results.

For me, it turned out to be a regular lip balm which gives a temporary effect. Maybe, it would better suit those who have naturally pink lips and need the usual moisturization and not an intense one.
