Bourjois Ombre A Paupieres 08 Review
Hi Everybody,
I have got another eye shadow shade from Bourjois. Each and every Bourjois eyeshadow behaves differently, even if they are different shades from the same range. This one is also from the same range that I have reviewed earlier. Read on to find out how different is this one from the others.

My Experience with Bourjois Ombre A Paupieres 08:
It comes as a small cute pan with a closed lid. The body of the eyeshadow is of the same color as the shade. When you open, the eyeshadow surface is covered with a paper sheet, there is an ultra cute eye shadow applicator (which has no use though) and the opened lid has mirror on the inner side. I loved the packaging, very cute it is. I think many people buy these looking at the packaging itself.
The shade appears to be peach cream with pearly shine when seen in the pan and when swiped on the finger. Unlike other shades of this range, this does not have any fallout, be it dry or wet. As mentioned before, these eyeshadows behave very differently when applied with a wet brush. On wet application, it comes out to be peach silver. It becomes very patchy if you try to apply this one on the whole lid, maybe because of the light shade. I patted the color 4-5 times with the wet brush, but it still appeared patchy. It looked quite nice when combined with coffee brown eyeliner, I would have loved it if it came out smooth. Also, it is quite difficult to blend these shadows when you are using them wet. Otherwise, this shade can be used in the inner corner of the eye or as a base for other eyeshadows to show up well.
The staying power is quite good, stays for good 4 hours and its increased by around 1 hour by using a base.
The impression that the packaging made on me, was almost nullified by the performance of this eye shadow.
Like I mentioned before, if I try using it with the applicator provided, the applicator turns all pink but does not transfer anything on the lid. So, these cute applicators have no use, but I can put them to use by using them for cleaning my eye makeup under the lower lash line precisely. It is perfect for that purpose. This is just an average quality eyeshadow; it is not worth Rs. 445 at all.
Why I Like Bourjois Ombre A Paupieres 08:
- The cute packaging.
- Built-in mirror.
- Pretty shade; I wish it wasn’t that patchy.
- Very minimal to no fallout.
- Stays for long.
- Paraben free.
Why I Do Not Like Bourjois Ombre A Paupieres 08:
- Not very impressive pigmentation as compared to the eye shadows available at the same price.
- Appears to be patchy after application.
- High price compared to the quality.
- Applicator is of no use in applying eye shadow.
IMBB Rating:
2.5/5
