Hope you are all doing great. I wanted to try Bourjois lipsticks for so long but they are too costly here in Australia, similar to the price of Urban Decay Lippies. But, recently, there was a sale at the drugstore and I quickly picked the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick 14 Plum Plum Girl. So, without further ado, let’s get started with the review.

My Experience with Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick 14 Plum Plum Girl:

The packaging of this lipstick is very cute. It comes housed in a small wide rectangular transparent tube. The color of the cap and the tube matches with the actual shade, which is pretty cool. Since the tube is small, it is easy to pop it in a purse and use it on the go. The lipstick comes with an easy-to-use doe foot applicator.

This line has more than 15 shades ranging from neutrals to bright pinks. I feel that the shade range is more on the usual side than unique. The shade 14 Plum Plum Girl is a beautiful pinkey plum shade, which will look good on skin tones. This is one shade which will make the face look brighter and will perk up any makeup look.

The formula on these lipsticks is similar to the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. The texture of this lipstick is creamy and smooth. These apply well on the lips without tugging or pulling. The pigmentation of this product is also amazing; just a swipe gives an intense color on the lips. These feel so lightweight and comfortable on the lips. Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks do not give a flat matte finish but they give a satin matte finish with a slight sheen.

The staying power of this lipstick is also pretty decent; it lasts for almost 5 to 6 hours. It does transfer and fades after eating and drinking but we can reapply it easily. So, if you want a non-drying comfortable liquid lipstick, then you should definitely check this out.
