Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Mascara Noir Review

This is my third review of a mascara this month and each one has fared differently for me. I’ve reviewed the Essence I Love Extreme Volume Waterproof Mascara and Wet n Wild Mega Impact Blackest Black Mascara earlier. And today, I’ll be reviewing another mascara from Bourjois. Let’s read the review to know more about the product.

My Experience with Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Mascara Noir:

I picked up a couple of eyeliners and mascaras while shopping in Dubai and I am sorted for a year. These days, I am always on a lookout for good eye makeup products. I’ve been trying to create different eye makeup looks for occasions and parties, and in the meanwhile, I am enjoying playing with colors and eye makeup products. I’ve been trying to get better each day in terms of achieving good results for my eye makeup look and this mascara fared quite well. It actually lived up to my expectations.

Packaging:
The packaging is pretty and I like the shape of the mascara tube. The bottle is thin in the ends and bulges in the middle. It comes in a black shiny bottle with all the necessary information embossed in pink color. I’ve been using this mascara for more than a month now and the text on the bottle is fading. I tried to scratch the text with my hand and it wiped off completely. With this, I was able to make out that it lags behind in terms of quality.

Brush:
It’s a densely packed soft bristled brush that helps in achieving volume to a great extent. The bristles are soft and don’t prick the eyes. It is quite convenient and comfortable to use or hold the brush. However, I am not very impressed with its shape as it has very few bristles in the front due to which a lot of product gets stuck to the wand in the front. I always have to put the excess product back into the bottle and then I move on to using the product picked up by bristles in the middle. So basically, the applicator could have been better.

How it Functions:
It’s a dry gel-based formula that is non-sticky. It applies evenly to the lashes and separates them perfectly. This helps in making the eye look prettier and bigger. It opens up the lashes and separates the lashes well by adding a good amount of volume to it. It curls the lashes a bit but gives more of a spiky effect to them by lengthening the lashes.

It doesn’t completely curl the lashes but I like how it adds to the entire eye makeup look. You’ll surely be able to notice a ‘before and after’ difference. I am very much satisfied with how it functions. What I noticed about it is that it adds life to my lashes, pops them up and makes my eyes look bigger.

I am glad it doesn’t stick the lashes together. It doesn’t clump or flake either. Since this mascara doesn’t curl the lashes a lot I always curl my lashes with an eyelash curler before applying this mascara. This tricks makes my lashes look perfect afterwards. Also, it lasts long. This one lasts for hours, almost the whole day.
