My Experience with Catrice 190 Cleopetrol Kohl Kajal:

I love trying coloured eyeliners in different forms and my search for a good kajal never ends. I have recently reviewed Sugar Cosmetics Blue Twist & Shout Fadeproof Kajal and absolutely loved it. Here is another blue kohl from my stash. Let’s begin with the packaging. The kajal pencil is a sharpenable one. The color-coded pencil with a cap of the same colour helps to spot this kajal easily. The cap fits very tightly and it never comes off while carrying around. The pencil is extremely lightweight and grips easily. The pencil bears the shade name. Overall, the pencil is sleek, lightweight & easy to carry around.

The shade “Cleopetrol” is an amazing peacock blue kohl with loads of finely milled silver shimmers. I love the metallic finish of this kajal. The shade is really very unique and attractive. It will suit well on people with fair to medium skin tones but it may look chunky on darker skin tones. The gorgeous silver glitters in the eyeliner look very bright and festive. The shade does not look over the top. It is an amazing shade to rock parties and weddings. I tried creating a little dramatic eye makeup in the EOTD below.

The kajal has decent pigmentation. The colour is easily buildable. One swipe deposits light colour and it takes atleast 2-3 swipes to build up the colour properly. The colour transfers easily if you touch the eyelids often. The texture of the kajal is smooth but not very creamy. The easy gliding formula does not tug or pull the eyelids at all and glides effortlessly. It sets to a velvety metallic finish. The tip of the kajal gets blunt easily. So, it requires sharpening every now and then. The kajal is water-resistant but not completely waterproof. It smudges a little on my waterline after some hours of application but stays the same without any fading on my eyelids.

The staying power is good as it does not fade for long once it sets. It lasts on my eyelids for more than 6 hours without any fading, while it fades and smudges a little from my waterline in the same time frame. Though the kajal can be removed easily using an eye makeup remover, the shimmers sit back on the eyes even after the colour gets removed. So, it gets a little difficult to remove the shimmers. It takes an oil-based remover or some baby oil to remove the shimmers properly. Overall, I am really happy with the shade and quality of this eyeliner.

Pros of Catrice 190 Cleopetrol Kohl Kajal:

• Good packaging
• Vibrant shade
• Metallic finish
• Shimmers do not look gaudy
• Smooth texture
• Glides effortlessly
• No dragging of the eyelids
• Decent pigmentation
• Lasts long on my eyelids
• Apt for parties
• Can be removed easily using a good remover

Cons of Catrice 190 Cleopetrol Kohl Kajal:

• Smudges a little on my waterline
• Shimmers are slightly difficult to remove
• Could have been more pigmented
