You know my love for lipsticks and then you should know my love for matte lipsticks and then you should lastly know my love form brick brown lipsticks. So, I want to share this lipstick today which I recently fell in love with. This was a gift from another lipstick addict and like I already said in my Chambor Powder Matte Rose Fantasie Lipstick review that somehow mine wasn’t soft enough unlike what my friends said and the ones I swatched at the counter. But now, this one which is perhaps older or newer than my Rose Fanstasie; perhaps not stored in the fridge, maybe newer or older stock, I don’t know; but is marvellous, soft, smooth and creamy and feels very thick. Just one swipe and it is enough to last you for four hours.
What I love about these lipsticks is that the shades they have are all so drool worthy. I know most of us know the famous “Orange Flambe” and then the one I reviewed, “Rose Fantasie,” and then some other shades to die for such as Coral Reef and Desert Rose. I am eyeing the Pink Devil, Mauve Fantasy as well and what not. Most of the shades are to my liking and then they are matte, soft and long-lasting.
Surprisingly, Rose Fantasie smelt like agarbatti, but this one doesn’t; maybe the fragrance has faded off or maybe its not new enough, but I know that I find this one better than the Rose Fantasie and this one is super thick in application.
The shade is a brick-plus-pink based brown and of course absolutely matte. The shade comes out more brown in person than what it looks here and I don’t know why. Now, I think these are evergreen lipsticks since there are always some takers for soft browns and matte lipsticks, so I am happy to possess this one.
These days, I find myself reaching for this lipstick a lot due to the soft texture, long-staying power, and the color which is a very sophisticated one, which is a soft brown and perhaps may look mauvey-pinky too sometimes. I like to line this one up with nude or the Mystery Mauve liner from Avon and I am good to go.
The lipstick lasts me a decent four hours and fades off nicely when I blot it with tissue. If I layer it on and on, it may come out very patchy after meals.
Owing to the pigmentation and softness, I recommend only one layer of this since otherwise a matte brown lipstick may really be in your face. I am happy with this one for the price of 450, but Rose Fantasie could have been better if not softer than this. I did not find either of them drying as I never have dry lips unless I got to Himachal/dry climate. Apart from that, if you don’t want matte lips or are prone to dry lips, please skip it.
Overall Opinion on Chambor Powder Matte Lipstick:152 Brique Rose:
Its an evergreen color for me, matte soft brown and black liner with it is a classic 90s look :p which I still love honestly. I also feel its easy to shape lips with this matte lipstick in case. This lipstick is a must-have for brown, matte, long-wear lipstick lovers.
