Ciao my lovelies,
Before I begin, this perfume was a present from my masi and while she was bringing it to me she lost the cap somewhere in her suitcase. So, I do not know what it even looked like in a box or with a cap on. One moment she told me she got me a Chanel and I was like omg! second moment I see the bottle ,cap less coming out of the suitcase I was like masi where is the cap? She is like enjoy the spirit in there forget the cap.lol
But losing caps is so common with some of us yeah? Be it lipsticks, kajals and perfumes.atleast I do.
Chanel is a luxury, French fashion house founded by Gabrielle Coco Chanel. Coco Chanel incorporated elegance, class and originality into each clothing piece allowing the company to be highly established and appreciated. The famous Chanel logo interlocks two C letters together and counterfeits are rife so best to purchase products from exclusive retailers.
Past celebrities endorsing the Chanel range include Nicole Kidman, Keira Knightley and Marilyn Monroe. As well as producing an exclusive range of clothing worn by high profiled celebrities, the Chanel range includes handbags, cosmetics and fragrances.
Chanel fragrances came to light in the 1920s. In 1921, Chanel No5 was released and is still going strong to date. The sale of Chanel fragrances is high and brings quite a significant portion of Chanel’s overall profits alone.
Chanel fragrances are often promoted using a well known celebrity. Billboards, internet displays and also television adverts are used and no expense is spared allowing the brand to be desired and irresistible.
Coco by Chanel is an Oriental Spicy fragrance for women. Coco was launched in 1984. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Polge. Top notes are coriander, pomegranate blossom, mandarin orange, peach, jasmine and Bulgarian rose; middle notes are mimose, cloves, orange blossom, clover and rose; base notes are labdanum, amber, sandalwood, Tonka bean, opoponax, civet and vanilla.
The Product & Packaging
Coco by Chanel comes packaged in a simple but elegant black box decorated with gold themes. The elegant perfume box has a square white box centered at the top with the fragrance title and creator. There are two different perfume bottles that are able to be purchased. One bottle is square in shape with a glass top. The other is tall and rectangular with a black rectangular top. Both have a square black box on the containers with the logo and designer titles. The colour of the perfume itself is somewhat darker than the fragrance of Chanel No. 5 in a honey colour.
As you can see, I have the rectangular bottle with the hopefully black top.
The perfume is quite strong and lasts for days on clothes, although when sprayed upon the skin, I found that it stayed smelling fresh for around 7 hours. When I had sprayed the perfume on my clothes, I still found a lingering of the scent for up to 3 days later! That is the longest time I have ever smelt a scent for.
Now I do not how to describe this Chanel. It is again very musky, sexy a little masculine and abstract. I got it a long time ago and then it smelled different and now after 3 years it smells different. It’s my bad that I did not finish the whole bottle well in time. So if you love your perfumes. Do me and them a favour ,please finish every bottle within a year of opening or they ferment giving you and undesirable odour. Coco is forceful—sophisticated, femininely, and ornately forceful.
Overall, the scent lasts long, for days on clothes. I found the scent old fashioned for me and too strong, Although I liked it when I first sprayed it, but the orange blossom tone soon disappears. I was happy to have tried this perfume. However, I wouldn’t buy it for myself and won’t buy for others. If you do want to try this perfume, only a very little bit of spray is needed, as the perfume is a strong one. I would also suggest spraying it on yourself, and waiting for several minutes before deciding whether you like it or not.
Like any other Chanel it is mysterious, sensous and lady like. It is provocative and definitely for evening wears.
But I do not like the fact that how Chanel is a synonym with older women.I mean it was Coco who introduced the famous ‘little black dress’ in the 1920’s
Worn with some gold vintage jewellery, your are out to kill 🙂
About the price Chanel can be found at luxurious stores or their counters all over the world.
I like Coco By Chanel Eau De Toilette because
- It is definitely for the ones from age group 24-100.ha ha yes you would really enjoy wearing this sort of a fragnance in this age group and this would seem to settle better on your skin leaving the spicier much experimental scents for the teens.
- The lasting power.I smell it on my clothes even after 3 days.what’s that magic?
- The bottle even though I have it cap less, is still very pretty.
- The quantity, once you have gone ahead and purchased it once it would last you forever. Even if you are using it everyday
- Definitely a scent I wore a lot when I had got this bottle.I was mesmerized by it
I do not like Coco By Chanel Eau De Toilette because
- Saying again, I do not find any of my Chanels very ME!
- I tend to drift towards lighter scents
- Price.oh la la
- This can be overpowering for work wear.I’s say strictly night.
- It may not be the ‘it’ fragrance for lot of people but I reassure you it is not amongst the overwhelming once as well.
I give it a rating of :-* :-* :-* knowing it’s a 4+ from every review website but I just do not find Chanels to suit my pocket(if I were to buy them)and age appropriate. Also too much of wood and musk is my complaint.
